A wonderful package from Verdant with replacements for my missing one ounce of Sheng. As my first order was no longer available they sent me three others plus a sample. I’m looking forward to trying:
Big Leaf Sheng Pu’er 2006 Yang Hi Tian Yuan
Mt. Banzhang Farmers Coop ‘O3 Sheng
Qianjiazhai Old Growth 2014 Sheng
Plus the sample of Master Han’s 2014 Single Tree.
Thanks!
Very generous replacement! Nice
Alright! I am so glad that these all arrived safely. Thank you for giving us the chance to make it right, yyz.
Hello, new to the forum! But not a stranger to tea =). Today’s arrivals were all Meng Hai Factory: 7542(2012),7572(2010),Harmony (2014), Old tree (2006).
These come directly from my tea club in China and business associates overseas. (I am from Hangzhou, but live near Chicago). We all hoard tea like crazy!

Alan, is the tea club something anyone can join?
Wow those cakes look great!
Hi Marzipan! Maybe club was the wrong word. They are just a group of friends that hang out at the same tea shop and sometimes go on tea excursions in China. I am lucky enough to know them through work…and even luckier that they just randomly send me tea I happen to love. =)
I got a package from Tea at Sea with replacements for the damaged stuff in my last order and my order from TeaLyra (TeaLux) came in!
Ooo! What did you get from TeaLyra?
Durr… too much probably.
mi lan xiang dancong, peach slender pu erh, strawberry oolong, strawberry genmaicha, black dragon pearls, peach slender pu erh, dragon lychee pearls, milk oolong, mate carnival, pistachio lime mate, mango mate energizer, fat burner blend
I tried the pistachio lime mate the other day and I was bouncing off the walls!
Fu brick sample came today. Thank you so much Sophia I can’t wait to try the golden flowers :)
This tea comes from my fiance’s mom, who is likely trying to coerce me into setting a final date by prematurely sending wedding gifts. I won’t be so easily bought or bribed though =)!! The tea itself comes from a boutique operation called Tea Era (普洱春秋)in China. One of her former PHD students is a principle investor in the venture. Currently I don’t think their teas are available online. You have to go into one of their stores in China (one in Australia as well) to buy the cakes, and their receipt acts as some sort of certificate of authenticity. All marketing fluff aside, this is some expensive tea. So it’ll likely go into storage, and not be consumed within anytime even remotely soon. Plus all three were pressed in 2013, so some age will do them good. Definitely not a daily drinker.
About the tea: All three were hand-picked, from arbors of a certain elevation. The brick is old tree material, 300+ years I believe but obviously impossible to truly determine. Never from tea gardens or mass production farms, and 100% organic.

和- prounounced “Heh” – Raw
順- pronounced “Shun” – Ripe
“Yi” Brick – Ancient Arbor material
Happy Monday!
That looks like a real nice collection you have.
I might have a problem. (twitch)
@Marzipan! Always so welcoming! Thank you. But…what sort of problem are we talking about?
@AllanK, Only one “L” separates us. The collection has grown, I admit, much faster than I can actually drink it. Good thing pu er has legit shelf life =)
The L got me, I thought you were commenting on my tea collection, but it was Allan not Alan.
Actually I was commenting on the tea in the photo.
Today I got my Fu samples in the mail and a small package from Misty Peak Teas with a wrapper for my 2015 Spring tea and a small free sample of the 2014 tea.
Got my order from Mandala today :)
I had a good mail day! Samples from Wymm Tea and a package from Liquid Proust! Very exciting!
