Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!

I have a similar pot, but not from Teavivre. I find it a bit slower but not as bad as you’re mentioning. Have you tried it with water and no leaves to see if the leaves were bogging it down? Or maybe the slits just weren’t cut big enough. Then you definitely need a new one! :)

It works fine with just the water, but when there are leaves, the water fills the infuser and barely trickles out. I got a response from Teavivre (with pictures!) and they showed it working with leaves in it by pouring slowly. I’ll have to try again tonight. Good news is that my metal mesh strainer from the larger teapot fits perfectly in this one too, so I might not actually return it since it would take forever to return, shipping wise.

My teapot is bigger which means the leaves can float more, I guess. That might be why I have an easier time. This isn’t a fair option, but less or smaller leaves would help.

How are you liking the Global Tea Hut? I am considering a subscription but it’s a tad pricy.

Global tea hut is expensive but sometimes they send cool stuff along with the teae. The tea has been goo, usually about a half ounce is sent. This month they sent a chado tea spoon with the magazine, i figure that would cost me at least $8 or $10 bucks on EBay and is very nice.

It’s been a really good tea day; my second Camellia Sinensis order (the one my Dad placed for me with tea in it, not teaware) showed up just hours after my first one. Really looking forward into digging into that yellow tea!
