I got another Butiki order :) Some were already restocks from the order I got back in October, and some are new ones I’m excited to try!
I ordered:
Red Queen Cupcake (1 oz)
Pistachio Ice Cream (1 oz)
Birthday Cake (10 grams)
Pumpkin Creme Brulee (2 ounces)
Dinjoye Estate Assam (1 ounce)
Blackberry Lime Guayusa (1 ounce)
The Killer’s Vanilla (1 ounce)
Nilgiri Frost Oolong (1 ounce)
And…let’s not kid ourselves here….I’ll be placing another one probably over the weekend or early next week once Stacy puts up the newest flavors :) I just can’t get enough!
That was one of the restocks :) I had one cup from the first bag I ordered and knew I’d have to add more to this new order. I was glad to see it was still available! I’m dreading the day that I visit the Butiki website and there are only a few teas still listed :(
Oh my god, my What-cha order arrived, and while I kind of abstractly knew I ordered a lot, this is huge. Soooo much tea, to go along with the grocery bag full of new tea I picked up in Toronto.
Also, I got my new iPhone today, so yay!
Hahaha, omg. So, I was away on conference/vacation for about 10 days and came back to So. Much. Tea. in my mailbox. Officially not buying any more tea until I’ve at least sampled everything I currently own!! But for the record, here’s what I got:
From amodatea.com
4oz of Duchess’ First Love and 4oz of Better Than Sex, both from Tay Tea (these are both dessert-y teas that I tried first in their sampler packs and loved enough to want to buy – and the sale they had around Halloween was just too hard to resist, lol)
From WhisperingPinesTea.com:
Port, Foxfire Chai, and ClariTea
From capitaltea.com:
Duflating Estate Assam
Hattialli Estate Assam
Pothotuwa Estate Ceylon
Giddapahar Estate 1st Flush Darjeeling
Rohini Estate 2nd Flush Darjeeling
Vanilla and Marco Polo flavoured teas
from tealux.com:
Brandy Oolong, Ruby 18
Milk Jin Xuan Taiwanese Oolong
Black Pearl Sumatra Oolong
20 Years Aged Roasted Oolong
Assam “Black Beauty” #8
Dragon Lychee Pearls
Secret of Love (flavoured white)
Ok, most of these are 20 or 25g so I’m not completely insane, just… mostly… :)
Wow that’s a lot of tea. I’m so glad there are plenty of companies that sell 25g or less.
My very first online order arrived today, less than 24 hrs after placing it. I am impressed at the speed of this! That reason alone is enough to order again from the same company. I just can’t decide which of the 12 samples I want to try first!
I had my Jerry Tea order arrive today, and it came with a VIP card :D The card is plastic and fits in a normal wallet slot, it gives money off your order ($1 off a $19 order, $2 off a $29 order etc).

(This tea is a gift for me and my husband. Intended as our ‘house warming’ celebratory tea.)
All that came to $46.16 and I got a free bracelet gift :)
I tried the third one down, Yunnan Puer, last night. It was nice, smooth and strong with rich wood and earth tones. A nice tea considering the price.
My Verdant order arrived, which was wonderful. Though I haven’t yet had chance to try anything (I had some of those lovely Canton Wild Black leaves on the go and felt bad throwing them out, just to try something new), I did smell all of the teas and they are just wonderful. I ordered:
Yunnan White Jasmine (which smells divine. I love Jasmine at the best of times, but this really was wonderful)
Handpicked Autumn Tieguanyin (which smells far nicer than I expected it too. It’s so… Orchid like, I think. I dunno – I guess I can’t describe it that well. But it smells delicious)
Zhu Rong Yunnan Black (so bready and chocolately – absolutely mouth watering)…
I’m gonna have fun tomorrow :D
Thanks :D I can’t wait to try them all! There was also a sample of the Dragonwell included, which will be my first Dragonwell… So much excellent tea to try hahaha
I’m so happy to hear everything arrived safely! I’m excited for you to try them all, but especially for the Autumn Tieguanyin – this harvest has been my favorite so far from Master Zhang (though we will be visiting him in just a few days to try his Nov. 11th picking, which he’s even more excited about!)
Happy sipping
Awh, thanks! I have now tried the Zhu Rong and the Jasmine White and was beyond impressed. Absolutely incredible teas :D
I’m planning to try to Tieguanyin tomorrow – it smells absolutely incredible. I’ll be looking forward to your updates about the new picking – I have I doubt that if the Autumn harvest is as good as the other two I tried, I’ll deffo be putting in an order for the new one! :D
