I am currently in the “Try All the (Herbal) Teas” phase, so I ordered a bunch of samples from Stash. They arrived today, so I have thirty or forty new teas to try over the next few weeks. So exciting!
Vintage clay tea caddy from Taiwan Tea Crafts. My family needs to ban me from that site. Also got a 2002 sheng and a 2005 Menghai tuocha I ordered from Yunnan Sourcing’s recent sale.
I came home from vacation to my huge River Tea order from when everything was half off. I also received my order from 52teas/southern boy iced tea. Woohoo!! Brewing some Watermelon Black Iced Tea right now.
Got a little package of samples from Aftelier Perfumes, Matcha Chai Green Tea, Frankincense Oolong, and Rose Ginger Oolong. She even sent a cute little hand written note.
Hooray mail! I actually got two things today:
My free samples from YunomiUS – a gyokuro and a kabusecha. They’re 10g each which is a lot for a sample. Technically they charge you a dollar for each (free shipping) but then they give you enough rewards points to equal a dollar so it’s free in the long run. :)
My “swap” from the lovely KiwiDelight. She must have seen that I was trying a lot of Japanese greens somewhere because she sent me a PM saying she wanted to send me some! Who does that? I sent her a bunch of Kusmi samples in return. What an awesome person. She sent:

Do they ever have sales? I want to make an order but I’ve been buying/free sampling so much tea lately. :P
They’ve had two sales recently, I’d be surprised to see another one right away…but you get a 15% discount as a new customer.
TeaFairy, I panic-ordered this morning because I happened to check and there was limited stock left of Golden Orchid. I realized later that I needed to add to my order and Brenden was totally awesome about it. A+ customer service
Lol, I’ve had those panic orders as well lately! I’m not at all surprised mj, he is such a sweet guy.
Talk about a difficult decision! But what a wonderful dilemma to have! The Port may be the most exotic enticing prospect, but the time has to be right for it. The Golden Orchid and Cedar Ridge are calling me to try one of Brendan’s blends. But I think I have to go to my first love and go with the Alioshan Black.
Trouble is, I have to go to work now, and I’m not going to chance letting work interfere with my initial exposure to AB, so it looks like a late night date with Ali.

Great choices! Sleeping Bear is supposed to be available every beginning of the month…hope you get to try it eventually, it’s totally worth it!
