Official *What did you get in the mail today?* Thread!!!
My Teavana order! I was surprised to see it; it just shipped yesterday and I thought the sale would cause insane delays.
When the mail comes, it comes in huge groupings at my house. Today I received:
- A sampler from KittyLovesTea
- A box from Tea Desire
- Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas swap
- the Amoda box for January
…and yesterday I finally was able to grab my Black Friday order from Butiki!
More White Angel (I think this is my third huge order of it now), Tickle Nose, Caramel Pu-erh, Mountain Herbs, Chai Apricot, and more of both Cinnamon Star and Chocolate Truffle. Their shipping boggles my mind every time. I order, and it’s at my doorstop the next day!

I got a free 1 oz tin of White Guava from the Persimmon Tree. It was from a facebook promotion code I got for ‘liking’ their facebook page. I was going to order some of their 5 samples for $5 along with it, but they don’t carry them anymore. ;.;
The tin is tall and narrow. I thought it’d be short/wide. Lol. It smells delicious though.
Just got back from a trip for some sunshine and got a nice sample of DuckDina’s Tea as well as a sample of Almond Orange Rooibos. Thanks Columbia Kate’s Teahouse for your generosity in sharing a few free samples. I look forward to trying and reviewing them. :)
It 4 am, WHY AM I STILL AWAKE? I was mad at Amazon today because they didn’t deliver my package. I was just about to go to sleep and I checked the order status and it said “delivered” so I went outside in the middle of the night and found my package there. They just didn’t ring on the doorbell __ Anyway, so I have my Organic India Sweet Rose Tulsi tea. It smells really strong. Awful, really. I ever let my kitty take a sniff and he literally turned up his nose, closed his eyes and took a step back. Now thats the kind of proof that holds up in court. Lets hope it doesn’t taste as awful as it sounds! :) I’ll find out in the afternoon when I wake up. lol
Oh my goodness. My Teavana sale box arrived. This must be some sort of world record for number of different teas for so little money. The 12 Days of Christmas Box is so much more impressive than it looks online. I’d have bought two, had I known.
I have to confess, though, that I’m not very optimistic about the teas—at least not as they stand. The ingredients all boast artificial flavoring (of which I am highly skeptical), and even more surprisingly: very little tea! Perhaps this purchase will afford me an opportunity at last to use up my CTC Assam. I imagine that increasing the [tea : “other”] quotient will transform these into more desirable blends to me. We shall see…
A really lovely box of teas from my swap with Dexter3657 full of lots of things I’ve never tried before and packaged so beautifully. Love the notes and love the selection.

My roommate tossed the mail on our couch as she ran out to go to the gym. I heard her yell “tea” so I ran upstairs to find a great swap package from Courtney. I thought that was it but then, a few hours later, my roommate, some friends, and myself went to settle in and eat dinner while watching The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and I found my 52 teas order hiding under flyers.
