Best/Must Go to Tea Places in London

Hello,

I’m going to London during X-mas time, and I was wondering some good places to checkout for tea. I’m looking for both casual tea and high tea for lunch. I have a lot of teas already, so I won’t need to increase my stash, BUT I do want the best recommendations. I am preferential to oolongs and Earl Greys.

I haven’t really thought very much about this, as a London trip probably isn’t in my near future, but personally, I would definitely take the opportunity to see at least one of the Bird & Blend shops in person, as a huge fan of B&B. I’d also probably bring a “Tea Suitcase” with me, with enough room for teas to bring back, but that’s just me. :D

I always travel with a small extra foldable duffel just in case.

I went to Postcard Teas (great Earl Greys), Twinnings (the Strand location), and Bird & Blend. All were great to visit.

The London-Heathrow airport (not sure if you are flying or taking some other transportation) has Fortum and Mason teas, which are expensive to ship to other continents and worth checking out.

I thought their large tins were very reasonably priced at Heathrow. They have a full and proper branded store and a large corner of a generic airport store AND a long eclair shaped bar all in terminal 5A. I had a friend gift me some tea yesterday that she brought back from Tea2you in London. It is in the Borough Market which she described as being full of amazing food stalls that have a ton of delightful choices. Go when you are hungry. It is now on my places to visit list for future travels!

THANK YOU! These are great recommendations. I’m going to limit my tea consumption to there and small amounts that I can take in my backpack. My stash is still overflowing, but I want to check out the stuff I can only get in England. I’m half tempted to contact Kiani tea to see where she sells it during the Holidays that I can pick it up from.

I will be landing at the London-Heathrow Airport, so I may be able to swing by there waaay easier.
