Steepster Migration
Trying to look at tea pages, and it seems to get exponentially slower as the amount of tasting notes increases. It has me wondering about the underlying database schema and queries…
I can’t access Notices. I just get the spinning wheel for literally hours. The site is very very very slow, too.
I was trying to add a tea to review it, and right after I hit Submit, I got the “Someone forgot to turn off the kettle” page. But now it won’t let me try to add that tea anymore because it says it is in the database [ https://steepster.com/teas/simple-truth-organic/94075-mint-blend ] yet if I try to access it, I only get the “someone forgot to turn off the kettle” error and can’t actually leave my review…
I’m getting that error (500 internal server) for every tea I try to look at right now…
I’m getting that error if I try to open a tea page and I’m also not having any notices show up on my main feed page.
Also when I try to post a comment (here) or in reply to someone’s tea note, it spins and appears not to post, but when I refresh the page, the comment is posted.
Upgrading some AWS instances now. Site might be offline for a few minutes…
First, THANK YOU on taming the spammers. I don’t have to report spammers everyday, so that is working. But searching for a tea I KNOW was in the database before, no results are appearing. Specifically Samovar Velvet Cacao. Even typing “velvet Cacao” has zero results. This is the tea: https://www.samovartea.com/product/velvet-cacao/
