Needing cheer can feel a few different ways for me:
When life seems impossible: matcha!
When I’m feeling shivery and low: chai!
When I’m feeling as though life takes a great deal of courage: black tea with milk!
When I need to escape: gyokuro….
Thank goodness for tea!
Nothing cheers me up more than a cup of jasmine tea with milk and sugar, a blanket, and a good book.
Genmaicha always brings a smile to my face. It’s warm, sweet, and a little nutty :)
And the best tea is shared tea. I love to share a smile and a cup of tea with a friend.
Tea Source’s Vanilla Madagascar or a chocolate tea from either David’s or Harney and Sons.
Dragonwell from Teavana, or the aged white Yunnan from Verdant :)
I’m changing my story. Lately I’ve been reaching for Genmai Hojicha more and more to warm me and up and cheer me up.
It has always been Strawberry Zabaglione from 52 Teas for me – it just makes me SMILE!
for sure Pleine Lune of Mariage Frères with brown crystal sugar
A cup of Earl Grey and an episode of Star Trek the next generation. A little time with the Captain does the trick.
Oh my gosh it is like you are in my head! “Earl Grey: hot!” sigh
