Good article. I keep both sencha and matcha in the fridge in airtight pouches. It definitely helps preserve freshness especially matcha which can lose its bright green color as the tea gets stale. One thing I do differently is after removing from the fridge, I allow the tea to come to room temperature for a minimum of 24 hours before opening.
