Matcha First time.

The first time I had matcha was at a Japanese cultural event. Today was my first time ever trying to make it at home. It went ok… but I couldn’t get all the tea to dissolve. I am using a Japanese whisk (I can’t pronouns the names so I have a hard time remembering what they are called)Can anyone give me a hint of what I might of done wrong?
