Online Games and Tea
I also love playing Little Big Planet and Red Dead Redemption online with my brothers – I tend to enjoy playing games with people I know more than strangers or solo. I <3 my PS3!
Oh, the zombies. I only ever do it with my brothers so our “posse” is only two people. I should try it with more someday. : )
Sounds so fun! We only have it on Xbox and I have yet to find a posse that isn’t WAY over my skill level, or just kills me for fun. Working on it though ;)
I tried World of Warcraft for a while, and I still do a mean impersonation of me playing WOW. It involves me running in place for ten minutes yelling, “I’m running! I’m running! Now I’m going to kill ten Murlocs although I have no idea why. I’m pretty sure they’ve never done anything to hurt me. Now I’m running again! I’m running… Now I have to kill ten Murlocs with different colored fins! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”
Yeah, I guess it just wasn’t for me. I’m more of an old school pen and paper rpger.
It reminds me of some of the fan art comics :D I’m glad I don’t have to worry about WoW and it’s subscription fees anymore :D
I’ve always wanted to get into tabletop RPGs… never been able to find any open campaigns around here, though.
I must admit I have many years of WoW under my belt and my guild hears me yell “Tea refill time” at least once a raid. I tend to drink greens if I am feeling well and blacks or rooibos when I am under the weather.
I’m not a big computer gamer, but I do love my xbox 360 games and often enjoy “killing people” with a cuppa at my side. I love FPS games, like Fallout 3, Skyrim, etc. I also enjoy Mass Effect (I have a Garrus action figure on my desk at work) and Assassin’s Creed (ditto for Ezio). I’m tempted to get a Keurig so I can keep it upstairs where my game console is (husband plays downstairs with his own box and acct). That way I’m closer to all my obsessions! :)
I am a WOW Player with my husband and we are trying to take over KeenTeaThyme with it LOL but last night was the first night i got to sit down and play and enjoy a nice cup of tea :) i think it kept me grounded and level headed where usually im getting frustrated lol of course last night i was drinking Enchanted forest tonight i am going to try something with a bit more fruity notes!
alliance or horde? and what do you play (mage, priest, shaman, warrior, hunter, or druid) and then of course which path did you take them (ex. shadow priest, fire mage) I usually played a holy priest and when dual talents came out I was very happy to switch between that and shadow priest :D
of course I don’t play anymore but that’s what I remember. I quit not long after the worgen were given to the alliance.
lol yea im Excited for the new Panda race, I have all sorts of char one is a wargin and then I have my Hunter whose human And that’s my mail I love her lol I really haven’t gotten her really set up cues they just changed everything do the expatiation
I was horde except for when the worgen came to the alliance (wolf people) I loved having a wolf tail, fur, running on all fours the best toons they had added (in my opinion) unfortunately I had to switch to alliance to play them :D
yea i have never had a horde I dont like ugly things hahahaha and of course being a Twilight fan my Hunters name is Renesmee and Her pet is a Wolf named jacob lol
Love my ps3 as well. Especially gliding around gotham as batman and sipping on some black tea. hits the spot.
I haven’t played Batman or Spider-Man stuff :D I did play a fair bit of Final Fantasy XIII-2 though so much better than Final Fantasy XIII although I’m one of the rare people who enjoyed that one too…
I think I tried a bit of it on my PS3 and I was having fun but my internet connection at the time wasn’t very good for it so I stopped. Of course I’ve upgraded my modem recently to a much better one so I should give it another shot :D I like having beastboy’s abilities but my toon looked much cooler :D
Don’t get me started. My last great gaming addiction was LOTRO which I managed to kick about two years ago; before that, WoW which I finally left because I simply couldn’t stand the bigotry on the server even within my own guild; and before that — well, at the risk of dating myself, my first online gaming addiction was Shadow of Yserbius. Before that and in between I played stand alone games, mostly graphic adventures and crpgs for years, sysoped on the CompuServe Gamers forum back in the day, wrote for gaming magazines, etc. Sigh. Amazing how much time you have when you’re young and single without kids.
I better stop talking about it, my fingers are starting to itch. ;-) These days I’m focusing on writing fiction instead. It’s a better obsession for me. I think. I hope.
Minecraft anyone? Minecraft is great with tea. The chill atmosphere and changing weather… the rain, the snow, the jungle, treehouses… Ahh, best game while sipping tea.
Ah good ol Minecraft!
My favourite server got griefed so I haven’t played in a while. Kind of heartbreaking! (It was whitelist only but the guy who ran the server let his little cousins on… le sigh)
I’ve never played on a big server actually, it’s usually just me, my boyfriend and sometimes his friends. I guess that’s why it’s so chill. :)
I’ve never played but I have seen friends play and it does seem peaceful and a great match with tea. It’s so crazy how some people make fancy glass houses with spiral staircases haha.
yes it certainly is the most peaceful game! I wish everyone knew how awesome Minecraft is with tea. I just started playing again and am building in the jungle.
I forgot to mention that the sunrises and sunsets in Minecraft are amazing. Never seen anything like it in a game.
I love the different biomes in the game. the pine forests, amazon jungles, cactus deserts, swamps…
Sounds amazing. I will definitely give it a try when I have some free time. Is the game free?
I’m not sure how much it is now, I think I got it for $20, but there are no monthly costs or anything. its good to buy off steam so you can download it on both pc and mac, if you happen to have both at some point.
its both multiplayer and singleplayer so you can either play by yourself, or with some friends, or on a large server with many people you don’t know. its nice to just make your own server for just friends. much more chill that way :)
@__Morgana__: Come baaaaaaaaack. Our server is fantastic. =)
@all: I play Guild Wars 2 and WoW.
Guild Wars 2: I’m on Crystal Desert. I have a Norn warrior and an Asuran thief. Okay, first, the Asuran is adorable and makes me giggle whilst playing. And second, the thief is so freaking fast. It’s really a lot of fun to play. The Norn warrior is boring (sorry, ArenaNet), but the real-life friends with whom I’m playing are also Norn and it was easier to roll a character of the same race so we could start in the same area and not go nuts trying to find each other.
[Edit]: If you’d like to befriend me in-game, I’m bleepnik.7645.
WoW: I don’t care what anyone says, I’m positively squeeful about pandas. MoP is gorgeous and I can’t wait to play it next—I mean this!—month. In the grand scheme of things, I’m pretty new to WoW, so I’m not bored with it yet. And I don’t get into the nitty gritty of character attributes and gear levels as it makes my brain hurt. I just like playing. Mostly solo, but sometimes with a friend. My main is a night elf druid and I play on Proudmoore. If you want to roll a new toon (horde or alliance, whatever) and quest/level together, gimme a holler. =)
Besides these games, I love classic point-and-click adventures and can’t begin to express how thrilled I am that some of them are being given new lives on the iPad. It’s the perfect platform for them (tap to move/interact is just natural). I wish they were actually being recreated for the retina display instead of just ported to iOS, but I’m happy with what I can get. Telltale Games are also doing a wonderful job breathing life back into the genre with their episodic adventures.
Also, Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/bleepnik/ I tried adding you folks, but for some reason searching for some of you resulted in nothing, so hopefully that URL will let you add me, instead.
Tea-wise, I will drink just about anything, but prefer spicy, nutty, cocoa-y, and floral infusions. Not all together, that would probably be kind of gross. The coolest thing about loose tea, for me, has been the change in mindset. I don’t just have to take what I’m given, I can blend! That’s led to Frankensteining even the bagged teas I drink; I feel so naughty and mad scientist-y opening up those bags and mixing up the tea. =P
