What is the tea scene/culture in your city/town?

I am starting a YouTube channel soon and would like various towns and cities to check out the local tea cultures. https://www.patreon.com/calmingleaf

I’d really like to hear from you and visit in the new year!

The city I live in, sadly doesn’t have much tea culture, (Though the local grocery stores have been expanding their tea selection, though it’s mostly bagged.) There is thankfully a few tea rooms that are about an hours drive away.

Oh That’s too bad. How are the tea rooms?

Kansas City, Missouri, here. Slowly building a tea culture. :) Mostly English style or American coffeehouse style in the few tea rooms and shops we have. Though we do have a fantastic artisanal Fujian white tea merchant here, Shang Tea, and a shop with pu-er that I think is directly sourced but I won’t swear to that as I am not a pu-er drinker. The Midwest Tea Festival might be a good place to talk with locals and those from around the region about their takes on our tea culture. Had 1020 attendees last September. In 2018 we had 25 tea vendors plus several other tea related folks. It will be Sept. 7 & 8 in 2019.
