Only Product I Found That Removes Ugly Tea Stains From Cups
I have been a tea drinker for years. I drink only loose leaf green, oolong and white teas, which are rather pale as compared to black tea, In spite of this, I have found it impossible to remove the stubborn tea stains from my tea mug, which is white on the inside. I watched many youtube videos that promised that vinegar, baking soda or Oxiclean would be the magic bullet. To my disappointment, none of them were completely effective. I recently had an “AHA” moment when I decided to try Bio-Clean, a product I recently found to be extremely effective at removing stubborn hard water and soap scum from showers. Although Bio-Clean does not promote the product for cleaning tea stains, to my amazement, it truly is the magic bullet! Just use a small amount of Bio-Clean with a microfiber cloth or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and in 5 minutes, all the tea stains are gone! Here is a link to the Bio_Clean website. Please note that I have no affiliation with the company.
I just want to share the tip with other steepsters. https://www.bio-cleanproducts.com/
Chlorine bleach works well for glazed porcelain. I’d worry about the magic eraser scratching or dulling the finish of a glossy glaze, though I use them on wares that have matte textured glazes. They’re good for ruyao ware that you want to keep the tea stain in the cracks while cleaning it off the smooth parts.
