You know you're "addicted" to tea when ....
When the doorbell rings and you jump out of bed, throw clothes on, and sprint to the front door anticipating the mailman with a box of tea! (not that that happened to me today)
haha ahhh couldn’t tell you how many times this has happened.
Or I yell to my kids to look out the window to see who it is.
When 95% of your incoming emails are from steepster :-\
When you get excited that you have 50 new emails…. Only to find out they’re from steepster. Lol.
when you’re at the tea store you work at, on your day off, buying tea. your boss asks what you’re doing for the rest of the day. you immediately reply “drinking tea”
you make a facebook group of your campus’s tea lovers to make bulk orders of tea, which involves coordinating everyone’s schedule to have an ordering meeting, and totally ignore your Bio homework…
LOL! I made a FB group page and YouTube page that keeps me from doing my lit. homework! LOL!!!
you build a google docs spreadsheet to track swaps between you and 3 other torontoish area people… a spreadsheet which has a tab for swaps, combined purchases, and potential places to have future joint orders together…
…followed by one of those people adding multiple other tabs to track other things like money owed between us, tea we’re looking to give away…
Haha funny things is I don’t have a tea spreadsheet though others do. I just have it all in my head…until it comes to swaps with the ladies and apparently we went a bit crazy with orders recently haha
I’m just jealous that you have tealoving and coopratitive friends to do this with…my one local tea buddy is not anywhere close to this kind of comunicitative…
What gets confusing is he has the interest and tastes as steepster folks, just…I guess not the vocab and willingness to place orders.
btw loving the madhat sample right now!
you know you shouldnt drink tea at night….but cant wait til tomorrow to try at least 1 new tea that had just arrived
When everyone at your local DT greets you by name.
Been there, done that. I’ve become really close to all the staff at my usual location (there’s 3 in my area) as well as several folks at another location nearby. It’s gotten to the point where, if they don’t see me for a week, I get a phone call or email asking if I’m okay because everyone is worried since they haven’t seen me in a while, haha. If I’m not in to say hi and grab a cuppa at LEAST twice a week, there’s usually something really wrong…
I’m also well-known at two smaller local tea shops. I think I have a problem…
LOL! We only have 3 shops here. 1 is a DT, 2 are locally owned. 1 of the locally owned ones knows very little about their products and is just a mess, the other I have tried 3 teas from (all different types) and they all gave me horrendous headaches. So, DT it is!
I’m like this with my local one. They even have customers ask me what I would recommend.
When you have a special email account on your iphone just for steepster… And it’s the first one you check!
All but 2 of your purchases on ebay in the last 3 months have been teaware…when you find teas to order/sample on ebay while checking teaware you are bidding on…
oh watching? that is a bit more random…tea, tea items, motorcycle stuff, comics….(the result of a household account!)
