You know you're "addicted" to tea when ....
You re-read this thread agreeing with most of the addicted indications every now and then, even when it is late at night and you need to get to bed.
I don’t know if this has already been mentioned, but when getting new tea in the mail is REALLY exciting!!!
My orders from Mandala and Butiki were waiting for me today when I got home from work, and I thought “best day ever!”
I hate when the mail comes with my tea as I’m walking out the door to go to work. This means I have to wait at least 14 hrs. before I can even go through my new delivery of tea!…Which happened today.
When you clean out extra drawers in the Kitchen or reorganize the Kitchen to hoard all your Tea!
When you get tea for your birthday, but instantly wish you hadn’t because your friends think a box of lipton is the same as loose leaf Earl Grey…
… and you would like to believe it is a chance to educate, but you have tried before and they just don’t get it. Feeling your pain.
I had to get rid of so many boxes of undrinkable tea bags after my birthday! Haha and I tried to explain the difference but felt like a snob. My roommate saw me sorting and said “You have a problem.” My only problem is not having enough tea…
I have always been able to give the boxes away to people who are happy with them. I see it has only been since August that you started loose leaf. Give it another 6 months and see if family aren’t scheduling an intervention. I suggest you start hiding some of your stash now – just in case.
Roommates and girlfriend started dreaming up an intervention the second I joined steepster and learned about tea swapping
When you bring extra bags of tea home from a spa date just so you can renew your opinion of them (as it had been a few years, and you remembered them fondly) and review them on steepster.
Does drinking three cups while making dinner count?
Maybe I’m just addicted to masala chai (and rooibos).
Does it count if you get excited for snow days because you can stay at home while working and have access to your entire tea collection all day long!
Uh… snow days are exciting regardless, lol. The tea availability is a bonus! The university is closed today, and the boy is working from home as well. Fun day in southern Ontario!
My roomie would play games with me! :D Of course, the boy is a fun 30+ minute drive away, so that’s not happening…
on the plus side (sort of), with everyone’s reaction to the snow, there will be no gym for me tonight… but i’m totally going to play in the snow and have some board game fun tonight! Ian picked up dark ages dominion the other day heh
OOOH! That was one of the couple you still hadn’t picked up yet. I have to say, I’m dying to pick up Intrigue. I totally agree about the interaction part making the game way better! I love it regardless, but still.
The other night, David and I (well, I wanted to) opted to take turns selecting cards for the deck instead of randomizing. I selected pretty much all attack cards, hahahahaha. It was pretty fun though, I gotta admit! And we included Throne Room and Witch, so I kept double-witching him, which won me the game because it compromised his deck! Tee hee!
we’re such dorks. We’re actually only missing two boxes and one of them i’m not sure i want (prosperity and alchemy).
Right, we were discussing that. Prosperity is fun, from my limited experience, but you were saying alchemy is very exclusive.
yeah… i mean the reality is, i’ll probably still get it. Might as well complete the set lol but prosperity is the next purchase.
I’m missing the roommates cuz I’m craving a game of Settlers of Catan with this mug of Chai…
My alarm clock needs washing as do my tea leaves and tea pot. suddenly it’s time for more…
When your co-worker enables you by asking if you need tea from DAVIDsTEA (he’s going out of town to where the nearest one is) & even offers to lend you money to get what you “need”.
However in the same breathe tells you, you have a problem.
