Excellent choices for your first order! To get Golden Fleece with your first Verdant order ever – wow now that is special :)
Lol, this is my 8th order from Verdant. I have 33 of Verdant’s tea. I started ordering from him when steepster select put his Cornfields Shu Tuocha in the 3rd box for September. With that he gave the Steepster Select members a 50% code, and I went wild ordering all of the Alchemy blends, whites, greens, and oolongs at the time.
This will be my first time trying the two black teas that I ordered, and the green is a refill..:)
Oops my bad I could have sworn I read my “first” order from Verdant thats what happens when you try to reply to threads half awake lol – wow a 50% code would be nice now :)
Yeah I’m probably one of the reasons he got rid of it…lol, I went a little crazy from September to December. Its one of 3 of my favorite places to order tea from. Verdant and Asha Tea House are the places I can’t help but order from. I have 4 of his pu’ers but I not a big pu’er drinker so I have not been ordering that many of them from Verdant.:)
Yeah I couldn’t resist the Verdant clearance and I’ve been eyeing some of the blends for ages.
I got one oz each of:
Taiqing Temple Green
Eight Treasures Yabao
Chocolate Chamomile Curiosity Brew
Sun Dried Jingshan Green
Autumn Dragonwell Style Laoshan Green
I’m so jealous of everyone getting to order the clearance teas. There is no way on earth I could justify it, especially since I still have most of an ounce left of all of them, and plenty of other tea to drink. I somehow still feel like I’m missing out, though!
The Eight Treasures Yabao is wonderful…I just bought four more ounces along with clearance items!
Chocolate Chamomile Curiosity Brew is pretty awesome. I was surprised how good it was…I was a little weirded out at first. Their Sun Dried Jingshan Green is a favorite…one of the few green teas I truly like!
Just received my order from Verdant today:
4oz Eight Treasures Yabao
1/2 oz Spring Harvest Laoshan Green
1/2 oz Autumn Harvest Laoshan Green
1/2 oz Spring Harvest Dragonwell Style Laoshan Green
1/2 oz Autumn Harvest Dragonwell Style Laoshan Green
I’m not going to talk about price because, well, I really shouldn’t have bought it in the first place…but we all know how well trying not to buy tea, especially on clearance, works out!
Since it takes about 3 weeks to receive an order from Teavivre I decided to order quite a bit:

I need to try them but their site confuses me – maybe I will just order what you did LOL :)
lol :) yeah it can get kinda confusing with all the subcategories and stuff it takes some getting use to to be able find teas fast, I also ordered some tins and some zipper bags from Upton too they have good prices.
Caution though: once you figure it out, you will constantly be finding things you want to sample. It’s endless! And hey, they have their own wishlist system over there, which can be handy (and fiscally dangerous, lol). Love Upton. Consistently great customer service.
Hummm maybe I should stay away LOL – do they ever have free shipping codes or anything?
Yeah that is a fair amount for shipping. Hummm These two are SO tempting!

BF63S 15g sample:

Set up an account and add them to the wishlist. Then add more, as you read reviews etc. Samples will spark more orders, so space it all out, lol.

I just placed two orders with Verdant. I couldn’t help not to with the clearance sale… then I kept reading about the Silver Buds Yabao and how they taste like marshmallows.. I absolutely adore the flavour.. not the sweetness.. of marshmallows. Hopefully it lives up.

Amount: 2 oz. Product Code: 2915 Quantity: 1 Total: $9.00 Group Total: $9.00I now keep trying to order 200g of the sticky rice tuocha, but the site won’t let me get the shipping method to work again! Grrrr. I guess I will have to call it in and place it that way.. because I need a stockpile of that tea!
The Silver Buds Yabao is one f my favorites teas. Verdant’s Yabao is aged, if like them I would ask try them when they are fresh picked. Norbu Tea has them. Its great to see how aging them gives it a fruity sweetness to it. I have 4oz of each, and love them both.
It a tea that changes and changes with every steep, and its good to “forget” about them and let it steep for a long time.
I will definitely have to look into the fresh picked. I am so very excited to try this tea now after your lovely comment. I can already feel the mailman stocking comin’ on (as it is shipped from the US, the tracking is lost after a few days as it comes into Canada.. then it is all a guessing game when I will get the package. Hence my anticipation every time the mailperson comes around.)
Thank you for building my Yabao excitement!
I think I am the only one crazy enough to pay the high prices for FF Darjeeling Mariage Freres tea. Yet they are simply the best and second to none.

sigh, I know I just ordered some but how did I miss strawberry cream AND peach melba?! back to the wishlist I go.
I looked over Tommy’s list before I made my order lol – I am really looking forward to the maracuja as I am looking for the perfect peach tea (until I blend my own with Stacy of Butiki that is ) :)
This one looks excellent and has good ratings.
Don’t feel bad about missing the two you did though – from reading reviews here I see that Upton uses an artificial cream base a lot of people do not care for!
Hopefully I like it. I will let ya know!
