Since Amoda isn’t doing a subscription box any more, and I’m allowing myself 2 subscriptions, I signed up for Tea Sparrow. It looks similar to Amoda’s so we’ll see.
i was considering signing up for a tea subscription myself. maybe Verdant.
I signed up for the wait list for that one.
i want to do Tea Drunk’s subscription but I also visit the storefront a lot so
So I caved and ordered from Zen Tea before their sale expired. 40% was too good to pass up. And considering I haven’t made any sort of order since….well, I can’t actually remember the last time I ordered tea. Lol. I did pick up some Adagio fandom sets from one of the stores before they ran out, but that was months ago. I think I’m doing pretty good on that front. Certainly better than my old ‘order at least one every month’ routine. XD; Bummed since I missed out on getting a tin with my phoenix pearls because I waited so long to order. XD; Ah well. Maybe next time.
Black-Phoenix Pearl Black – 100g (3.5 oz) pouch
Oolong-Bossa Nova – 50g (1.8 oz) pouch
Black tea-Vanilla – 20g (0.7 oz) pouch
Black-English Breakfast – 20g (0.7 oz) pouch
Black Tea-Ceylon Kenilworth OP – 20g (0.7 oz) pouch
Oolong-Shui Hsien Organic – 20g (0.7 oz) pouch
Assam Mangalam Second Flush FTGFOP1 – 20g (0.7 oz) pouch
Though I just realized that I had decided not to get that Shui Hsien, but apparently forgot to take it out of my cart. /headdesk/ Rarrgh.
This bad girl ordered the Korean Sejak from Zen Tea, this will be new for me. I also got more Sencha Ashikubo this weekend from Camellia Sinensis, this tea taken after a short nap gives me delusions of being 20 years old again, I feel that good after a few cups. They also have a brand new teeny 2 oz kyusu for sample tasting, so cute and only $12.
I envy you so much. Wanted to try their black teas, but I can only afford small amounts (from local shops) and reviewing samples.
Lariel – Technically I shouldn’t have ordered anything since I still have so much I need to drink first, but the sale was too good to pass up. XD And really, with the coupon, most of their samples were only about $1, so that was most of the problem. Lol!
I placed an order too. Like you Shadowfall, w/many of the samples being around $1 and the larger sizes not much more than that, it was hard to resist. Shipping being $5 for US was great too, it didn’t go up from there, but no free shipping after a certain amount (but I wouldn’t have hit that anyway).
would you have actually removed a shui xian and not the eng. breakfast??? haha
Apt – I’m not a big fan of teas that have a straw/grass flavor profile. I’d much rather have a black tea over that. Lol.
a good shui xian should be sweet and roasty with a thick body, not grassy :)
I also placed an order with Kenneth @ Zen Tea Life during their May sale:
- Assam Mangalam Second Flush FTGFOP1 – 200g (7 oz.) http://steepster.com/teas/zen-tea/30455-assam-mangalam-second-flush-ftgfop1
- Black tea-Keemun Finest – 200g (7 oz.) http://steepster.com/teas/zen-tea/46734-black-tea-keemun-finest
The website pricing includes a 10% quantity discount for the 200 g size plus the 40% off sale = 50% total discount!
Just bought my first (non-bagged) oolong tea! http://www.mountaintea.com/collections/clearance/products/formosa-jade-oolong-5oz
I’m supposed to be on hiatus until June 9, but I couldn’t miss that clearance deal!!
on friday I placed my first ever order from Jing Tea Shop, a vendor which I’ve been eyeing for a while now.
I got Mi Lan AAA dancong, Ba Xian dancong, Rou Gui A yancha, bai mu dam white, and……my first ever gaiwan.
you can say that im pumped
Jing Tea Shop is a great company! Their oolongs (in particular, their yancha) are superb!
great to hear! what teas do you recommend from them?
whoa, I just checked their site – they’re going to debut tea from their own farm in wuyi – can’t wait!!!
I really like their Tie Luo Han and their Lao Cong Shui Xian. Their Ya Shi is very good as well, though not a yancha. Don’t let the name throw you off… it’s amazing! I will definitely be picking up some other yancha when they debut the tea! :)
I almost bought the ya shi, but it was too expensive for the time being.
A couple black teas from Jkteashop. I blame yyz.
It’s for tea research, I swear.
I almost ordered some dancong and yancha from them as well. Tell me how their blacks are!
Another order from Damn Fine Tea…. Yunnan Gold Tips (horsey tin) and another tin of the Spring Keemun which I LOVE! Now I have to put off my first order from Canton Tea Company… grrrrrr….
I placed the Butiki order I’ve been plotting for days and days. I kept switching things up and adding more and more…and deciding I needed more of each.
I wound up ordering:
Lemon French Macaron
1994 Aged Bai Hao
Wen Shan Bao Zhong
The Killer’s Vanilla
Blackberry Lime Guayusa
Citrus Dream
Lavender Chamomile
Champagne & Rose Cream
Eggnog and Pralines (because Stacy is AWESOME!!!)
Ohh.. Eggnog & Pralines?? That is awesome!
I had to order a whole bunch, but Stacy is making it up for me.
I had a sample of that one and really liked it. Enjoy!
I placed a one-month subscription with Simple Loose Leaf. I used a coupon they gave us in the Traveling Herbal/Caffeine-free box (thanks!!).
Hmm, is that coupon still out there?
Not everyone who participated in the box took a coupon, so I think the rest went back to Madametj. She might or might not still have them.
I seriously need to ban myself from aliexpress but they are having a three day promotion which means sales so I bought:
A nice but on sale Gaiwan 150 ml. When I factor in transit its cheaper than my 5$ China Town stoneware ones. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Tureen-gaiwan-ruyao/1724300711.html
lapsang Souchong (possibly from the company I’ve been searching for).http://www.aliexpress.com/item/250g-50-pec-Lapsang-Souchong-Wuyi-mountain-black-tea-that-it-s-out-off-the-world/1656762518.html.
I ordered tea for the first time in a while… but it’s not for me! My mom’s birthday present from Harney & Sons. I got her a sample cube for last Christmas and Paris was her favorite, so:
1 tin of Paris sachets
1 tagalong tin of Tower of London sachets
1 tin of Peach Iced Tea sachets
