Now that I have managed at least SOME organization, I’m willing to share photos of most of my tea stash.
Here is my PUMIDRAWER, which actually has a lot more in it since I took that and came across more:

Here is a lot of my kitchen corner for the things I drink most often. It goes on for a little ways off the to the right (and maybe justa wee bit to the left as well), but here is most of it:

And here is my tea cabinet in my bedroom with most of my yixings. It’s too dark to really see the bottom shelf contents or the cool way Mr. Priss made the stair-stepped shelves inside per my design, but I’m happy with the way it turned out:

That’s the majority of my tea. I’m working on teaware next.
Wow! I’m super impressed with that cabinet! I wish my stuff looked so nice, but I mostly have bags, rather than tins, so it’s less pretty.
I agree with @tealizzy! And I wish I could display it in all it’s pretty tea glory like yours, but I like to keep it hidden away to appease the husband… sigh
I had bags too mostly until I got a buttload of tins from Harney & Davids. Until very recently I had bags EVERYWHERE
The cabinet looks so nice! I don’t have enough of many teas to store them in tins yet, although I have bought a few tins for when that happens :)
Awesome job MzPriss! Your cabinet ROCKS!
Stash/Cupboard Pictures – Grand Champion?
Awwwwww thanks looseTman, I LOVE my cabinet – but you should check out AllanKs on Instagram.
He may(?) have a larger stash, but your cabinet looks awesome!
Awww you’re so sweet. I promise you he has a MUCH larger stash – that is a wee part of it. I LOVE my cabinet and I got such a great deal on it at the outlet. It is perfect for me
Allan has some GORGEOUS teaware, including a beautiful crackly blue teapot that I covet. I might have to wing-wrestle the Tea Fairy for it though.
You did an amazing job, HoneyBelle! I’m so happy for you!
Thank you my darling. I’m happy I can find things now. And I have a pumidrawer.
I’ve been waiting to see what you did with that amazing cabinet, MzPriss! Definitely put to perfect use. I haven’t even been following this thread and somehow you just posted this seven hours ago. :D
Yeah I just finished it this week :)
Allan has a “pumidor”. You need one next.
SIGH. I know mrmo. I have a LOT coming. A Mandala order, White2 order, a YS order and a Misty Peaks one. My pumidrawer is going to be too small very shortly.
I love your cabinet! Swoon-worthy indeed _
thisjust reminds me i need to go through my stash….
Yeah, I’ve been thinking I have to organize too.
mostly I need to go through and get rid of some old stuff that has been horded too long. :-) I got out of tea for a while, just getting back in!
I’ve bought a few more things since I took the stash photos, and I’ve yet to figure out how to fit them all in, but boy was I ever proud of getting this organized. This is about 130 different teas:

I have a lot of different teas in small quantities, in those roll top bags, which were getting to be a bulky, annoying jumble. And sadly I don’t have the space or money to transfer them all into better storage, like tins (does anyone have a good source for small, ziplock mylar bags, like DAVIDs uses?) So I figured out that I could get them to fit better if I flattened out the fold of the bag and used them more like flat envelopes. Some of the bags I taped the flap down.

These bins are from the dollar store and fit very nicely into my kitchen cupboard, with a wee bit of space for tucking other things in around them. The bottom shelf holds tea, blacks & pu erh in one box, green, white and oolong in the other. On the top shelf I have fruit and herbal blends in one box and rooibos, honeybush and straight herbs in the other:

And my tea wares. I like things in glass, white porcelain and stainless steel. None of these items are from a matched set – I’m using a condiments pourer for milk because I haven’t been able to find a milk pitcher that looks nice – but I think it all comes together quite nicely.

I love these pouches. Both are entirely scent proof in my experience, even with a chai that was previously smelling up the room.
Holds around 10 teaspoons:

These are bigger –

Ah thank you. I ended up picking a different seller with similar pouches, just for shipping costs, but I now have two sizes of bags on their way to me. I always forget that eBay exists :P
Anlina, could you link to the place you got yours? I’m in Canada as well, and the $23 shipping is ridiculous. :)
Hey Anlina, what did you think of the bags? And what size of the bigger ones did you get? So many local companies use the same style of bags as Butiki, and they aren’t well sealed so I want to transfer my teas. :)
I finally made my pumidrawer! It’s not as great as a pu-vault, but it will do for now! :)

Pretty! I wish my stash looked so nice!!
Oh my God that looks so amazing. I’ll take a pic of my tea dresser sometime…if only it were filled with all those cakes!!
Nice! What type of wood is that? I’m no expert, but be careful with the aromatic woods.
Hmm. I’ve had my teas stored in an old dresser since I moved in January. I do actually notice that despite being ancient, there is still a wood smell. I keep everything in tins though and have had no ill effects. I do have one brick from Verdant but the wrapper exploded so I ended up leaving it in the foil sealed pouch as well. If there were any wood aromas to worry about, maybe a baking soda sachet or something would help? I don’t know if that would bother the tea. I’m going to be optimistic and say if you don’t notice a smell when you open the drawer, you’re fine. :)
Mine is really old. I don’t smell any wood scent. I guess I get puzzled because I have to keep them somewhere. People say open shelves are no good. Drawers may not be good. But even a mini fridge used by some may have a plasticky smell, no?
I keep looking for options within my budget and space limits. :)
I don’t even understand why mine had a smell. It’s gotta be 100+. Jerk.
I think there is no storage method that satisfies everyone. Do what works for you. :)
Sars would need…24? From the look of the pictures? More? :)
i would need more… all mine in a shipping boxes :(
I would only need one. :(
Some woods are OK, but it’s probably something to at least be aware of.
I’ve been using a mini-fridge and have been pretty satisfied. The only smells I get are sheng smells :).
Do you keep it closed, half opened?
Closed, unless I am reaching for my tea!
I did a little estate sale shopping with friends yesterday hoping to find a perfect cabinet for my tea. I lucked out and found this at our first stop!

The top drawers a little small but I’ve organized them into favorites, fall teas, summer teas, and unflavored teas. I’ll probably change things around once summer is officially over. The teal blue david’s tea box is full of teas I haven’t tried yet. I’m hoping putting it on top will remind me that I need to try them!
The bottom is for larger packages and tins.

That is gorgeous and looks in great condition!
