What do YOU call unflavored tea (other than, 'unflavored', that is)?

My goal is to stay away from the usage of the prefix ‘un’ in regards to Tea, as it focuses on what the tea isn’t rather than what it is.

Still, I hear you; that’s one I use on occasion myself. : )

inherent
noble
sovereign
essential
native
indigenous
natural
genuine

Those may all be fitting, but I am looking for something that is fitting and doesn’t sound odd or off; it’s almost like trying to use a word to describe a King, or Queen, or some noble (I have heard Tea called ‘The noble leaf’) that stands on it’s own ( autonomous, confident ) and knows it’s place and it’s own value in the world ( powerful, potent, authentic, true —it’s funny, when I look this up in the online thesaurus, lots of words with the ‘in’ and ‘un’ prefix come up, as in incontestable, and undeniable).

All this is interesting (and I think its a bit of soul searching for me, truth be told), but for me, in regards to Tea, I think the adjective that comes closest to conveying that Tea can stand on it’s own is ‘natural’. After all, Tea is a wonder of Nature, is it not?

I do like Natural – that makes so much sense – tea … in its NATURAL form! Yes I think that may be it – for me anyway. I do like Indigenous as a word but not sure it is as fitting for this case as natural.
