Has anyone ordered from Luna Cha?
I recently ordered some pu-erh teas from an importer called Luna Cha, based in Brooklyn. Their prices are very good, and the tea I ordered is due to arrive within only a week. Has anyone else used them? They look kind of promising so far . . .
Looking at their Puerh, their prices on Ancient Arbor cakes seem very low, too low to be real Ancient Arbor teas. This doesn’t automatically mean it is bad tea though. Might be good tea but it is not likely Ancient Arbor.
Ancient arbor is a common name for any trees older than 50 years. If you expect a $20 tea to be a 500 year-old arbor tea, that is a joke. Bing Dao also is a common name for teas from surrounding regions. We can’t say it is fake, it might be grafted or whatsoever they did it. Anyway, Will you buy a Bing Dao cake for $500 from big vendor? Let s assume you had bought it, can you tell if you had “real” Bing Dao? Of course, “real” Bing Dao is far more expensive than what you can imagine. $500? Forget it. Don’t get fooled. Here is a gift from me “Your own preference is the king of tea tasting”.
Yunnan Sourcing sells some genuine Bing Dao raw tea and I have bought a couple of them. They were quite expensive and not ancient arbor if my memory is correct. They were quite good. Scott is someone who I think has been in the tea business long enough to not get fooled by fakes.
It could be good. As long as you like it, it s fine. But no one can afford $700 hundred bucks tea for everyday tea. $30-50 dollars tea is actually good price range if you find one you like that you can enjoy it everyday.
I thought you were not, but team showed up. Online blogs or forum communities cannot longer be trustful, even amazon stuffed with tons of fake reviews. So embarrassing!
