Steepster Select January Giveaway
When Oh Christmas Treat from DAVIDStea came out, I immediately thought of christmas. Every year in our stockings, we get oranges and chocolates and sometimes those chocolate oranges!! This tea couldn’t be MORE perfect for christmas!!
Adagio always releases a flavored Christmas line that has all sorts of flavors that remind me of the holiday season ;)
Nutcracker Sweet from Celestial Seasonings. Last Christmas was the best one of my life, and the lovely vanilla/cinnamon/black tea aroma brings me right back there. Mmmm.
Yabao always reminds me of the holidays. It’s so spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg and .. I don’t know. It feels warm and cozy like Christmas. Plus, several years ago we got a brick of yabao. Whenever we tried it, we just kept calling it the Christmas pu’er, and so came the tradition of trying it at least once every holiday season.
Being of German and Russian extraction, we always had/have Russian Tea cookies and German Stollen, accompanied by a good Russian Caravan Tea that has a hint of smokiness from the Lapsang Souchong in the blend. Loose leaf Twinings Russian Caravan is no longer available in the US, so now I am in search of a blend that will fill the bill… tougher than it sounds! :)
Glitter and Gold by DAVIDsTEA :-)
The cinnamon, orange peel and cloves remind me of a pomander.. and the glitter speaks for itself!
Celestial Seasonings Sugar Plum Spice. It was the only tea I enjoyed as a little kid and as soon as the plastic Santas started to appear in the stores, I would start asking my mother if we could get the “fairy tea” yet.
As a kid, the only tea available in any form at my house or with my extended family was Salada Orange Pekoe. So, every Christmas Eve after stuffing myself at the restaurant, and every Christmas morning breakfast, and with dessert after a huge turkey supper on Christmas Day, I had my Salada with milk and sugar!
Spices remind me of Christmas. I will go with Chai tea as the one tea that transports me to Christmases past and present:)
Any Candy Cane tea, like the one Trader Joe’s offers this time of year, reminds me of the holidays because of the name, and the peppermint!
