Hey garret -

A long time ago you mentoined bringing in a Shou similar to special dark….or at least up that alley. Is it one of these new ones, or can you let me know which ones were similar. I’m still hoarding my special dark haha

Hellllooooo!!! Yes, that batch came in and then it just didn’t compare. I was excited but it didn’t pan out for a good replacement. The Shu Fits is a phenomenal ripe pu’er, as is the Rice Aroma (pu’er/herb blend). Also… From one of my suppliers out of Kunming, I received a nice ripe today, it is 2011 produced. Let me work this tea over and see if it is a closer angle to Special Dark. I’ll keep trying to find one that resembles the old Special Dark, though! It will happen :)

Garret

Sil I will try to get a note upon the Shu Fits this week hopefully time permitting to note it properly. I grabbed a sample with my order.

Is your milk oolong suitable for vegans (ie is it scented using milk or is it natural flavour from the tea)?

Garret said

The Milk Oolong is completely vegan friendly. It is a scented tea, but no dairy or honey used in the scenting process. If you are looking for unscented (and the original milk oolong), try the Jin Xuan "golden daylily tea on our site. While the Milk Oolong is in our top seller category, the Jin Xuan is quite an exquisite tea. It’s fun to compare them both. For my drinking, I end up consuming the Jin Xuan more.

I hope this helps.

Grateful,
Garret
