Tea boats!
Hi there!
I’d love to get a yixing tea boat or a ceramic one but I find difficulty to find some on the internet.
Any suggestion?
Don’t know if this is what you were looking for, but the seller Shanghai Story on EBay is very good.
That’s what I was looking for!!
Why are them so uncommon? Is there a more frequently used name they’re generally tagged with?
How’s your experience with ebay tea sellers?
Thanks :)
I love seeing how others prepare their tea; this is the first time I’ve ever heard of a “tea boat.” Thanks for the ebay images.
Yeah, I always find them difficult to track down; I’d like one too, but. Cha chen and cha chuan are two different styles of tea boat.
I got mine from purepuer.com, I think. Right now they only have this in stock for a teapot base:

Here is one from Teavivre: http://www.teavivre.com/lucky-yixing-zisha-stone-mill/
This is more like mine: http://www.teavivre.com/purple-clay-teapot-coaster/
I actually find more interesting the ones provided with a drainage capability more than just holding it (although beautifully)
If you want to know some interesting Chinese teas, I think you can view this site:https://www.best-tea.com/#
Bitterleaf teas has some really beautiful teaboats. This is the one I own: http://www.bitterleafteas.com/shop/teaware/meteor-hu-cheng-pot-support
