I was wondering that myself since I have this cake at home. And its pretty good. Im guessing something must have happened to the sample. The only thing wrong with it, is I feel like it needs another couple years of humid aging. Though in complete honesty, I think everything needs a little more humid aging..lol!

One of the things that I ask is that you tell where you got the tea. All Dayi 7542 may be created equal, but after 10 years, storage matters.

My friend’s uncle lives in China and has connections to a tea supplier and he gifted me some. Their US distributor is called MyTeaGuy. It’s just loosely stored aged leaves with no fanciful descriptions or even a stated recipe.

My guess would be someone tried to overhumid their pumidifier. Because the cake I have is good, just tastes like it needs another year or two humid storage.

First off, thanks for organizing this Box, Its more work than one may think. Appreciate the chance to participate.

There were lots of little 5g remnants that Im finishing off. Mama always told me not to be the one that takes the last roll at the buffet but I was that guy today. Hopefully you’ll find some good stuff from the stuff I replaced.
