Your favorite flavor of boba tea

Mine is the original black tea with milk and add some Koko. How about you? Do you have other new recipe of boba tea?

I find most boba tea fake tasting but there are a couple of exceptions. My favorite bubble tea comes from Tea Ren in Chinatown San Francisco. Their Roasted Oolong Milk tea is amazing. It’s a dong ding oolong, light on milk and sugar which helps you to actually taste the flavor of the tea.

Wow,the tea drink store must be so famous there. I seems to love all kinds of boba tea, but it should be delicious enough.

It’s been years since I’ve had boba, but I seem to remember liking taro.

I recently had a matcha boba tea from a local shop that was surprisingly good. I love boba tea but I find that they are sickeningly sweet. This matcha one was only lightly sweetened so I could actually taste the flavor profile and the bitterness, which was very refreshing.

I like matcha, taro, almond, and honey boba milk teas.

Maybe you should ask the manager to reduce some honey or sugar.

Make sure the matcha is actually from Japan.

I would expect only cheap knock offs from Chinese or Taiwan chains.

I recently discovered a bubble tea joint that makes roasted black milk tea and you can select the level of sugar added to it, thankfully. 30% sugar + boba + toasted black tea + milk = win.

I’m a complete snob about my boba tea but Gong Cha’s wintermelon oolong is excellent, as is Chatime Station’s roasted oolong potted plant. I always get mine with 0% sugar.

Brown Sugar in Sacramento is the best I’ve had for a simple milk tea. The ones in the bay area are alright but I think Brown Sugar is better
