I got my teas! Plus a sample of hot brandy. I can’t wait to try them, but I’ve heard that some pu’erh’s benefit from ‘rest’? Could anyone explain this to me and perhaps tell me which of the teas I got would need to be rested?

Puerh of any sort needs a rest after a long travel. Some people say a week is fine, others think it needs a month, I find a week is fine to get a first tasting, but you will have to judge for yourself.

This just means putting it in your storage box or tea cabinet and letting it acclimate to your climate before drinking it.

Other tea types dont need this, so Hot Brandy might be good to go since thats a white/black mix.

I will second the rest period for the puerh. Hot Brandy should be good to go though.

I dont believe aged whites need a rest. It seems to be a bit of a different process.

Ok thank you! I’ll try the hot brandy first then. c:
