Chinese kyusu for Japanese tea?
I’m searching for a small, 150ml-ish kyusu for Japanese green tea and I really like the ones on teaware.house. Unlike Japanese made teapots which tend to run big, the Chinese pots are the perfect size for me as I drink solo. However I noticed the holes in the filter seem to be larger which would allow smaller leaves to slip through.
Does anyone have experience brewing sencha in a Chinese kyusu? Would I be better off sticking to a Japanese teapot for Japanese greens?
i found some 150ml japanese kyusu. i think the clay or glaze of chinese kyusu wont do well with japanese teas.

got exactly the same from US source more expensive. its amazing little pot. pics dont do the justice. buttery soft. they are used by japanese teas instructors
Make sure you check camellia sinensis (Canadian shop) they have a number of japanese kyusus under 150ml.
Thanks for the suggestions, both sites have some nice mini kyusus. Artistic Nippon had some real beautys but a bit above my price range.
Good point about the clay on the Chinese pots. I think the clay used in Japanese pots is less porous and would work better with different kinds of teas.
Yixing kyusu were a thing for quite a while and were exported to Japan; I say you give it a shot and see how it works for you. The larger holes will be an issue with finer teas, though, so brewing sencha might be tricky.
