Tea Reccomendations
Hi, All!
I just recently started getting into Tea (that sounds weird), and I thought I’d sign up and create a thread where we can all ask for and swap our favorite teas!
If you are just starting with tea and haven’t yet gotten into puerh I would suggest my favorite source for non puerh tea, Simpson and Vail. They don’t get too much press on here because they are not on the site at all. But they have high quality tea for reasonable prices. Their tea is probably not quite as good as Whispering Pines but their prices and value are in my opinion better. Their website is www.svtea.com and I have made probably a dozen purchases from them.
For beginners I would recommend checking out upton teas. They have a wide range of different types of tea, and they have samples, which is important for someone new to tea. I recommend trying many samples of different types of tea to find favorites. Maybe you love one kind of tea, maybe you hate it. There is only one way to know, and If you hate it you’ll be glad you didn’t buy a whole bunch of it.
I have to say Yunnan Sourcing is also fantastic but could be overwhelming for beginners.

Yunan Sourcing, TeaVivre, Verdant Tea, The tea spot, and Sheffeild spice and tea are my favorites. White2tea if you want to sample pu’reh, as their sample pack is 40$ with free shipping and gives you a months supply of tea.
Tea of the month club from Yunan sourcing, Verdant tea or White2tea is also an option, let someone who knows about tea pick the teas, that only leaves paying and drinking to worry about…lol.
Also watch TeaDB and Mei Leaf on youtube, its incredibly instructional. Also see my reviews, they are from the eyes and tastebuds of someone very new to tea, only about 3 weeks, so they should give you a good idea of what a newbie should expect.
