Depends on the symptoms, but I tend to prefer puerh for the warmth effects.
The more sinus like symptoms so congested nose, bit of a headache, watery eyes, sore throat etc
Ginger-based herbals, always. Or just straight up dried ginger. Harney and Sons has a great ginger blend. Always with honey.
Clari-Tea from whispering pines tea co always does the trick for me. If I need a bit more of a boost, then I resort to matcha.
I’m a big fan of Clari-Tea brewed strong.
Not so easy to find but benifuuki cultivar tea. It’s scientifically proven.
I wrote a post about it: http://www.myjapanesegreentea.com/methylated-catechins-a-way-to-relieve-allergy-symptoms
Cheers dude. Enjoyed the post and gave it a tweet!
This last week when I was under the weather it was pointless drinking good tea because I could hardly taste anything, so I pulled out the cheap “bought at a Chinese supermarket for emergencies like this” shou I have in.
Worked like a charm! :)
I drink Bronchial Tea by Flora. It really does work and it’s decent tasting too. It helps clear up all the mucus on the lungs. Another of my favs is just plain peppermint tea. It doesn’t help like the Bronchial Tea but it’s always pleasant to drink sick or not.
I forgot to add honeysuckle tea to this. It’s antiviral & antibacterial. Always a good one to have when sick.
I like Rishi’s Ginger Tumeric when I’m stuffed up. Traditional Medicines has Throat Coat which is great for a sore throat. It has licorice root, slippery elm bark, marshmallow and other things that are supposed to make your throat feel better.
