Testimonial for Verdant tea

Wow, you must really have something against them. I think if you bought a teapot from Target and took it back telling them that you had used it, and it was not defective in any way, you might have a harder time. And, yes, I spent the credit with them, that is what a credit is. I would imagine that if I had purchased a handmade one of a kind teapot from another vendor, I would not have been able to return it, even for credit, at least not the entire amount. Effectively they are out the cost of either the tea pot or the items I later got with the credit they issued.

David’s tea is known for this exact same type of customer service. I’m not even a huge fan of David’s, but I’ve known many people who didn’t like what they bought and returned it after using, both in store and via shipping (teapots, mugs, infusers etc).
I myself have even returned tea that I didn’t enjoy, and been given many free cups of tea after relaying any bad experiences I had. One puerh was too fishy, another time I just didn’t like the vanilla taste, and a few others I can’t recall now. Just saying, there are other companies out there with great service.
With Verdant, I had a bad experience about two or three years ago and nothing was done about it. Haven’t ordered from them since. Having seen them grow from a company that really acted on their claimed beliefs, to a company that seems more and more about making a profit diseheartens me. There was a time I saw more stories about their great customer service floating around, and the passion of their founders really impressed me. Anyhow. I’m glad to see that you had a good experience, and it gives me hope that maybe they are trying to get back to what they once were :)
