Hi everyone...
Welcome! Not a lot of Swedes on here. If you’re in the Stockholm area, and feel like meeting some tea friends to share tea sessions with then feel free to get in touch with me.
Thanks. Unfortunately, I live in Malmö, but we’re in Stockholm a few times a year so let’s see. It would be cool to exchange info on tea and teaware buying in Sweden though…
Sure, I mostly buy over the internet since there aren’t many really good shops around here. If you come up to Stockholm and have some free time, feel free to contact me for a tea session. Always nice to meet people over a cup of tea.
Welcome to our community. I hope you enjoy your stay and find some good teas to drink with us. On a personal note I’m a bit curious, is it difficult to find good tea in Sweden? I’m fortunate enough to live in the US. While most people here don’t appreciate good tea and mostly just drink stuff from bags, we have the advantage of having a lot of people in our country, and thus more American tea websites.
I figure you could order tea from anywhere online, but there must be high shipping prices involved.
Thanks for the welcome!
Where I live (Malmö) we have 2 tea shops selling decent enough Oolongs, black/reds, greens, and whites, but the only pu-erh they stock is middle of the range loose leaf shou, so if I want sheng pu-erh or anything a bit better quality then, yes, it has to be done online.
There’s 1 webshop I regularly use based in Sweden that has a good quality but relatively small selection. They usually get stuff to me for the next day at a cost of about $3 US.
These days I tend to order on White2Tea and YS. I haven’t ordered any really large packages, so depending on size the shipping has been between $8 and $15 US.
Ah, okay. Thank you for indulging my curiousity. I hope you start reviewing teas, I just followed you. I plan on starting some reviews myself once my shipment comes in.
There are a batch of local Europe based shops that sell puerh. PuerhSK, What-Cha, and Canton tea are a few.
@Everune I hope to start posting a few reviews in the coming week. :)
@mrmopar I’ve placed a couple of orders with Canton already – I’ll have to get them in my cupboard and reviewed when I get a minute.
I’ve already bookmarked What-Cha previously for a closer look. I’ll definitely have a look at PuerhSK too…
I put my first Canton order in 2 days ago. They have a sale on their puerh so I had to indulge.
I got the email about that. I have a few pennies doing nothing in my PayPal account, so I might have to send a few their way too. That Xiaguan T8653 might be worth a punt.
Their own brand House sheng 100g mini beeng is a good solid everyday drinker. The De Hong Ye Sheng is nice, too.
