Hey, everyone. Just wanted to bring to your attention this new Wi-Fi enabled smart tea maker called Qi Aerista (http://steepster.toolz.ai/qi) that lets you brew the perfect cup of tea every time.

The device works by having different brewing presets for different types of tea. By default, there are brew recipes for black, oolong, green, floral, and even milk tea. Users can customize brewing via the Android or iOS app.

What do you think? Can Qi Aerista simplify your brewing method?

It is nice for westarn brewing tea but doesn’t cover the gongfu method of tea brewing. I already have a Breville Tea Maker. Don’t really see a reason to spend the money on this at this moment when I try to concentrate on Gongfu brewing my tea.

It is a Hong Kong invention but no Gongfu brewing style?

It would allow for precise temperature boiling but there are much cheaper options for that. As is your case, this fills a need I don’t have.

I immediate thought of the Breville too when I saw it. There are other similar tea makers being sold on Amazon now for a lot less. The smartphone control is nice but isn’t really compelling.
