@Ken, thanks for the feedback. You might be right that the local tea store owner was warning me about ebay.

I am ready to give it a try and I am browsing the website at the moment.

There are also some good sellers of tea on EBay. There are several EBay stores that I have bought from and gotten good tea. First Berylleb King Tea, second Streetshop88 who now calls themselves Goartea, and Shanghai Story is good for inexpensive teaware. tea tables and stuff like that. They also have some good tea but their selection of tea is smaller than their selection of teaware. There are also some frauds on EBay. Anyone who offers forty year old ripe for $11.99 for instance is selling a fake. The shops I mentioned don’t sell fakes although Streetshop88 does not sell name brand tea. But they have some good tea even if you have never heard of the brand. However I also like Yunnan Sourcing and have probably pl;aced some forty or fifty orders with them in the last three or four years. They have frequent sales and it is only a matter of time until Yunnan Sourcing has a sale on whatever it is you want to buy.

Hi YS,
I just ordered two 2016 teas and one of the new spring 2017 teas. No where in the checkout was there a spot, that I could see, to enter the 15off. So, the order ended up full price for all three teas. Not really what I wanted. Is there a way you can correct this on your end?

Any greens or whites that are outstanding? I liked the 2017 Bao Hong Green tea sample you put in my last order. A nice floral green.

Cui Ming and Mao Feng are super fresh greens. Taste is fruity and floral.

Are you able to source lids for your 200ml glass teapots?

https://yunnansourcing.com/collections/teapots-glazed-ceramic-porcelain-and-glass/products/heat-tempered-200ml-glass-teapot-with-removable-spring-filter

If not I can always take a cue from TheOolongDrunk and have a nice flower pot.

@snielson222 sorry! only teapots with the lids can be purchased. I tried to get just lids from our supplier but even the manufacturer doesn’t sell just the lids.

I appreciate you checking with the manufacturer (and your prompt reply), ill just have to add another teapot set to my next order, with how affordable they are it’s not a big deal. I train bamboo to grow in specific ways so I’m actually looking forward to using it as a plant pot anyway.

OK… well not a total loss then. Is bamboo hard to grow from seed?

I have never tried to grow it from seed, that’s actually a great question. If you plant a one leaf cutting from a healthy bamboo it will be a new healthy bamboo clone in a month or two. I have hundreds of bamboo shoots growing, that started off as two or three different neglected plants my wife had in her dorm room years ago.

I’m trying to grow a living basket around the edge of a huge planter now, so It looks like the planter is made of living bamboo.

Is bamboo a popular houseplant in China? Or is that just a stereotype?

Cloning makes alot more sense… plus you know what you are going to get. Do you use root-tone?

Bamboo is a popular house plant in China…
