So a da yu Ling from I can’t remember. But it’s a good one, finished it. It’s one that actually tastes like pears and apples along with the freshness greenness.
I will have to get some more now. I hope we can continue to drink tea from this fine mountain, I haven’t checked to see what the state of the laws are recently.
2014 White from White2Tea. I generally quite like this tea, but today it has upped its game to excellent. It’s straddling inbetween the fruit/floral of youth and the malty hongcha of age, and you get the best of both worlds. Not to mention chocolaty thickness, cooling, and a long aftertaste.

I’ve been drinking the 2005 generic Fenghuang Dan Cong that Rasseru found in Singapore.
(I think I’ve only had one dan cong from What-Cha before, so I don’t have many others to compare it against).
Had it in a gaiwan, and you get some really good extremely fruity steeps until that fades and you’re left with a really long-lasting tea with a kind of grape-pip aftertaste (at least, that’s the first thing that came to mind – not as bitter though). It goes and goes and is still pleasant to drink.
Also tried it at work with Western steeps – you don’t get quite the intensity at the start, but still a really nice mugful and you can do a couple of steeps.
I’m really liking it.

I have been craving green tea lately, and had totally run out. I bought 5 or so from what cha and now settling in to a hot cup of dragonwell.
it tastes so rewarding :)
Two earl greys, for my girlfriend.
both from what cha. One is a standard Ceylon. But nice smooth base, not so tannic or astringent. Forgiving, good for no milk.
The other is a four seasons oolong with Bergamot. Tasted like nothing else. Reminded me of lemonade! I’ll have to try a grandpa cup soon, this was Gong Fu.

Excellent complex aroma to the dry leaves.
Not very strong in flavor, but smooth, with lots of huigans.
Ample cooling.
Obvious qi.
Great longevity.
Upon inspecting the wet leaves, the complexity in aroma can be explained: this is clearly a blend, with some of the leaves being consistently greener, and the others being consistently darker in color.
Good stuff.
oh, is it really a blend? I didnt notice that.
It definitely looks that way. Doesn’t taste that way so much, but the wet leaves can’t lie.
Bai Lin Gong Fu from Yunnan Sourcing. A sweet and malty black tea that’s comforting on a cold day like today.

Can’t really compare to the young dancong; alas. Still good though, and something I think might really shine if pushed, maybe thermos style or boiled; we shall see.
Cool. Glad I didn’t buy loads of it then. The aroma is wonderful on it though.
I have found it better at the end of a good session, where it just adds to the layers of other tea, but cheaply :)
