I love his teas. Hopefully he will bring this one back. I haven’t had the pleasure of trying this one.

Yunnan Sourcing Pure Bud Bi Luo Chun Yunnan Black

Yes to Yunnan Black! Bi Luo Chun is a lovely creamy, nutty green tea with a savoury vegetal scent as far as I remember, but don’t really see what the fuss is about – there are lots of teas of a similar taste profile and quality for a much lower price, I feel like a lot of geuinely good quality Bi Luo Chun is status priced, because of its being one of the Chinese ‘famous teas’ as they call them. Haven’t tried either from Yunnan Sourcing in particcular though, so may be an exception, not sure! Yulia X

Oo, I am so happy you’ve started this thread! I’m a big lover of my whites, green and blacks, they are the ones that have been around forever, unlike the tea fanatic’s favourite pu-ers, developed in 1970s, despite the snobby looks other tea connoseurs might throw my way at such a controversial statement.

I may be ever so slightly biased, but I absolutely love the Eastcott & Burgess Yunnan Golden buds black tea (haven’t tried other brands of this, only directly from tea gardens, so can’t recommend anything else, sorry) – it has a very complex aroma of milky chocolate and malty rye bread, it’s super delicious and it turns from golden to black, which is cool – here’s Victor & I doing a tasting of it: https://youtu.be/6trZx_-NXGw

But OK, if I had to pick a tea that hasn’t been sourced by my brother and I, then probably Anji Bai Cha (obvious, I know). I haven’t been able to find a genuinely good Anji Bai Cha that tastes good & doesn’t have pesticides though. It’s one of my favourite teas.

Royal Irish by Petali Teas. The vanilla makes it very creamy.
