Welcome to Steepster & enjoy the ride! So many great teas out there to experience.
Welcome! As a new person myself, my advice to fellow new people is to take advantage of all the free/low-cost samples from all the tea websites so you can start to learn what your tastes are. That’s what I’ve been doing the past month or so. And of course, tea sales (and even more so, stash sales here on Steepster) are another great way to taste lots of things without falling behind on the rent. ;)

Don’t worry about ending up with some stuff that’s not to your taste; you can always get rid of it by using it as trading currency here. At least in theory (I haven’t gotten to that part of the plan yet, being new and all).
Welcome from a fellow tea and beer lover! I have noticed quite a few similar flavors in teas that I also find in beer, so you are definitely in the right place :) I wish you well on the start of your tea journey!
Former craft beer connoisseur myself. Ulcerative Colitis made me have to abandon that passion. I, too, found a new passion in tea that lends itself to the same wide variety and flavor profiles. You’ve found a good place to land. Enjoy the journey!
If you want some herbal teas for evening drinking, you might want to try roasted barley/mugicha, chicory root, pao d’arco/lapacho, rooibos, honeybush, brewing cocoa (try Crio Bru), or cocoa shells for strong/dark/bitter flavors; and chrysanthemum, chamomile, lavender, or rose petals for floral flavors (hibiscus is also a flower, but it has a tart, fruity flavor kind of like cranberry).
Love your beer? You’ll love Van Dyke: Fujian Noir, premium whole hop, and juniper berry. Check it out :)
