To not buy every time Yunnan Sourcing has a sale on ripe puerh tea and to buy less tea and better tea.

I’m currently at ~150 teas in my cupboard with at least another dozen on the way. So far, here are my plans:

- Do 1 tea review on booksandtea.ca every week
- Finish the year with less than 100 teas in my cupboard (75 would be even better)
- Spend $1000 total on tea and teaware (possibly even only $500)

1) Organize my stash – maybe even this weekend!
2) Drink down some of my teas before reordering
3) Stay active in the tea community!

1. More efficient tea buying to minimize shipping costs and avoid one-off tea purchases
2. Cut back on teaware purchases. Only essential gear and look for quality over cost
3. Keep daily consumption to below 10 grams
4. Give sheng a chance [I’ve already written off black tea and shou]
5. After 7pm, drink teas that won’t give me insomnia
6. Take better tasting notes when I drink tea

Happy New year all! After cleaning out my tea cabinets (!) for stuff that I will never be inclined to drink again, I’ve got my tea resolution list down:

1. Drink and reduce stash before tearing into new packaging
2. Replace and upgrade current pumidor
3. Keep spending low and put quality over quantity
4. Write at least 6 reviews a week
5. Keep my cupboard spreadsheet updated

Well, I can’t possibly be drinking MORE tea this year but I’ll try not to accumulate more tea. I’ve already started to try to sipdown one tea a day this year… I’ll see how long that goes for.

1 – First and foremost, give away all the tea I don’t want. I’ve been meaning to do this for ages and still haven’t gotten around to it.
2 – Stop buying just because there’s a sale.
3 – Stop buying flavored teas. I know I never enjoy them and they all just sit around until I stick them into somebody’s swap box.

Reading these is fun!
1. Resist trying subscriptions. I’m rarely really happy with what I get, and then I have tea on hand that doesn’t fill me with joy
2. Buy more samples and do swaps to find what I love
3. At work, take a moment to smell the tea and really pay attention to what I am drinking. I’m able to handle stress better when I do.

1. Drink down teas that are getting old.
2. Try all the teas that I just bought/received.
3. Until the stash is less, only replace the teas I love.
Which means staying off of tea sites for a while, because I added way too much tea on Black Friday…
