What tea will you be enjoying Christmas morning?

52teas’ Peppermint Marshmallow Melting in Hot Chocolate. I’ve been saving it for today to enjoy as a special treat and it was lovely with some rice milk. But then my partner’s mom got me a rose black tea from Taiwan that is truly phenomenal.

Woke up to 2013 Golden Needle White Lotus. Split a pot of 52Teas Eggnog Chai with my bother. Then I finished off a sample of Dong Ding I received from Taiwan Craft. It’s only 3pm now and I have yet to break into an aged sheng or an aged oolong. More than likely, I will end up finishing the 5g of 1979 Aged Beauty I have and some Snow Dragon before bed.

Started it off with “Joy 2015”, the Tazo transplant in Teavana. One of my christmas presents was a can of maple earl grey teabags, which is what I’m sipping now. My usual tradition is Joy, or Christmas Morning (Stash); if Smith’s shipping to Canada wasn’t ridiculous, it might have been Morning Light (see a Steven Smith trend here?).

I plan to break out the gaiwan later, though. I’m thinkin’ 1989 Baozhong.

Started with 2 cups of Masala Chai from Upton, now drinking Harney & Sons Nahorabi Assam Broken Leaf. Will have more tea at my aunt’s, probably a fruity black since she’s partial to them.

I started my day with a big mug of warm apple cider, but am enjoying Tardis by Aun-Juli Riddle right now. I have Joy in my cabinet somewhere, I might break that out later…

I started the day by enjoying a few steeps of some ‘04 Xiaguan Te Ji tuo before festivities commenced. No time for more tea until after dinner, but then some of us enjoyed a cup of Jade Pouchong from Red Crane Teas. I’m back home now & settling in for the night with a few more cups of the Xiaguan tuo.

I drank a variety of different teas throughout the day, but my first cup of the morning was the very last of my Butiki “Hello Sweetie”…a special treat, but bittersweet since I know I’ll never have it again!
