You’re not crazy. We have done some sampler packs of both raw and ripe tea each containing 4 samples of 7 grams each. We don’t have that offer currently as it is tons of work and we are swamped with this 20% off sale. A good problem to have for a tiny biz like mine. We do usually get in a sample or two with each order as well. Thanks!!

2012 was a special one, that’s for sure. I had met the producer in 2012 when in China and drank that mao cha for days. All the conditions were right.

The 2014, while we have many people buying it by the tong (7 cakes) after trying it, in my opinion needs a couple more years to mellow. The 2015 is great now. It was pressed on 8/1/2015 and still sharper than the 2012 right out of the gate. But… an interesting thing happened the other day in the tea shop. I had done 8 or so flash steeps at 212 degrees and then did one long steep of 2 minutes or so (I had forgotten it when talking to a customer). It was super powerful stuff on the tongue, but super fun and tongue opening. Following that, I was back to 30 second steepings and the brew just got sweeter and sweeter. I definitely recommend.

Perhaps just because it is new and exciting I’m drinking it more, but I’ll be drinking more of the 2015 than the 2014 for a while.

I have 3 of the 2012 left and I’m hoarding them. I might need some 2015.
