I'd like to pose a question to the Steepster community . . .

Even though I am just discovering 52 teas now, I’ll put in my two cents.

I think using kickstarter for this perfectly separate seasonal thing is just fine.

Personally, I would prefer the 12 arrangement with whatever surprises you come up with every year. That said, I will support your idea of the holiday five. I hope you will also present options for those who would like to purchase the teas but not necessarily the gift boxes.

I would be happy to support another kickstarter :-)
