Do tea warmers alter tea?

Hi,

I have a tetsubin teapot and I recently got a tealight candle based tea warmer from a friend. I was wondering…will the tealight candle alter the tea when used? I’m not so worried about black or herbal teas but more so delicate teas like whites or some greens

I wouldn’t use it with green or white unless you are brewing in a kyusu and just using the kettle to keep water at a steady temp.

I haven’t noticed any change in flavor when I brew. Just be sure to remove the tea leaves after the appropriate time :)
