Hi Steepster World!!!
I am trying to figure out which tea to season/start my new yixing pot with.
I’m dedicating my pot to shou pu erh
Any suggestions??

You don’t need to season it with your most expensive puerh but I would use something you would want to drink. If you pick a puerh you hate it may take up some of those flavors.

Try the 2013 Hui Run from Yunnan Sourcing. It is excellent and in that price range.

I recommend one of the Zen puerhs from Puerhshop. Very affordable and lovely to drink.
