Your favorite thing to add in green tea?
what do you add in your green tea to give it a different kind of tastes?
Mines is pineapples, lemon and lime, and strawberries…
Spices (cardamom, cinnamon, clove, etc)
Herbs (mint, both dried and fresh)
Ginger
Lemon
I also mix in other flavored teas. I usually find fruity teas too strong on their own but adding a little bit to green tea gives it a nice hint of flavor without overwhelming.
I never add anything to my green tea. It just tastes too good already , why mess with it?
Osmanthus flowers with dragonwell is an extremely popular addition. I also will occasionally add Goji berries to a lower grade green tea. For the most part I prefer them plain though
I also like adding goji berries to cheaper teas, when I make iced tea. It is fun to experiment with various such flavouring, at least with lower grade teas – I don’t like messing higher grade teas by adding anything at all to them.
I agree, higher quality teas in my opinion, are best enjoyed pure, with fresh purified water. However, I love mixing it up with flavored tes! Trying different methods of sweeteners takes everything to a whole new level: such as sucanat, molasses, raw honey and steavia. Just be careful to not to overwhelm delicate teas with the strong flavor. Sometimes I use half sugar half of another sweetener to balance it out.
My favorite thing to add to green tea is raw honey, the kind that still has a bit of wax in it.
