Just placed an order…I am so excited!! :) I really enjoyed your blackberry keemun from the first 3 samples you sent out.

Thank you!!

Thanks for ordering.
When I get a dehydrator I will buy 10lbs of blackberries and make that blend again with the goal to make it even better.

I look forward to the day when you have some in your shop :)

Small Update
I am going to use about $20 from all the sales I have had (being 7) to see what advertisement actually does… I didn’t want to, but I suppose it could be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

Week 2
I have sold 1 ounce since week 1 :P
Still looking out for bloggers, people who want samples, and all that stuff without pushing anyone into that weird corner of ‘having’ to. It’s only been two, I’ll only post weekly updates until August and then kind of disappear for a bit.

July 12th 2015
As of today I have sold enough to cover my LLC cost! A big thanks goes out to Kristen who organizes the Columbus Meetup here for us tea drinkers. She sent out a message to everyone that I started on my online tea business journey and it sparked some interest :)
I will take word of mouth versus online ads any day.

1 Month Update

People keep asking me how Liquid Proust Teas is going, which is a completely valid question, and it has been hard for me to answer that because there are different ways to look at it. First thing that comes to mind is, I have had one order in two weeks. However, I don’t want to measure my success based off of money because I am blending to create happiness in a cup. With that being said, I have been pleased with the feedback and I have yet to see any issues.

I bumped my debt limit so I could purchase samples of kraft ziplock containers and to further my search for ingredients to blend what I want. Today I will be meeting up with a bee farmer to purchase fresh bee pollen for one of my newest blends. I am also in communication with someone roughly 1 1/2 hours away from me who wildcrafts quite a bit and is willing to let me purchase a decent amount off of them. This is part of my approach, to get items from local sources rather than wholesalers. I wish I could do it myself, but with a 50 hour work week and no knowledge of wildcrafting (yet) I wouldn’t be the best for it… but I am in the process of learning :)

I have already planned a sale for the week of my birthday which will also be the time I release this badass blend https://instagram.com/p/5LEFSnRYPE/
(that may be a subjective claim, but I have mentioned that I will be subjective with this blend!)

Still keeping with the approach that my teas sell themselves which is why reviews are very important. I am still waiting for a review to make one of my teas seem like arch enemy of taste buds though since there has to be someone who dislikes my stuff.

To Come
Currently there is a batch of wildberry white, Nostalgia, Vanilla Lavender Oolong aka SpaTea, White Wine, Fake Mead (a bee inspired gold tipped Indian black tea), and I am currently working on the improved Blackberry Sage Keemun.

To be honest, the hardest thing to do is to suppress my tea creation because of something called money. While I never made music or art, I am sure they felt the same way when it came to the business side of things. There is just so much left to be done with tea that my mind has thought about, but we shall see.

Thanks for reading everyone.
:)

The sandalwood does sound interesting. I’m excited to see the direction your company heads :)

The new blends sound amazing. Can’t wait!

The Nostalgia and Vanilla Lavender Oolong do sound intriguing! Any word on estimated completion time of each? Definitely message me if you need any people to test ANY ‘prototype’ samples on or whatnot!

It is red sandalwood which is different than the sandalwood you may have smelled before… red sandalwood is safe to ingest which is why I use it over white sandalwood.

I plan to release these the weekend of my birthday with a nice coupon that will be given to everyone; that date is August 9th.

I just placed my second LP order before reading your update! I had to since I have spent today drinking Blueberry Sandstorm Genmaicha and then White Melon— starting to get low. :)
Steepsters, if you haven’t tried anything from LP you are missing out! Google him on Etsy

I would be interested on your experience with either if you cold steeped them!

I finally dove in to the teas I bought from LP last night and I’m quite addicted already to the Tangerine Jasmine Pearls. Need more already! Highly recommend!

Congratulations! Sorry I’m a bit late to this. I am on a buying ban right now, but Liquid Proust is my first port of call when the ban is lifted, for sure! Good luck for the future, and congrats on making it through your first month. (:

Thanks!

I’m glad to hear that you’re interested in my teas, just be sure to not neglect yourself from some of 2015’s fresh produce from various companies!

Interesting video. What exactly is the ingredient “Bee Bread”? Did I even get that right? Is there gluten in it? I don’t even know if it is actually bread.

I had no idea what the stuff was either!
“Bee bread is a fermented mixture of bee saliva, plant pollen, and nectar that the worker bees use as food for the larvae and for young bees to produce royal jelly. Bee Bread increases its’ nutritional value due to the fermentation process performed by worker bees.”
From http://www.beepharm.com/BeepharmSite/Bee_Bread.html

I looked at a few places and was like, “what the heck, why not… and from Lithuania it’s a must.”

Interesting ingredient. Definitely no gluten in that.

It is quite unusual… I’m trying to convince myself to purchase $60 of propolis from the bee farm here; aka “bee glue is a resinous mixture that honey bees collect from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive.”

Maybe when I am more established I’ll age pu’erh in a beehive!

LOL

I kinda love propolis, I tend to get raw honey that has a heaping layer of propolis and wax on the top of it and then eat it. I love the idea of fake mead, honey and pollen notes in tea are some of my favorite, so this excites me!

Are you out of the watermelon tieguanyin? I’m putting together my order and would love to include it.

Watermelon Tieguanyin did not taste good enough to produce as a product; aka, it failed the LP taste test. I will be working on it again next year when I have my own dehydrator and more experience.

Don’t forget the sale : http://steepster.com/discuss/11387-liquid-proust-teas-birthday-shenanigans-sale

(I am going to figure out a way to auto coupon on Etsy)

Aww, too bad. I went with the french toast dianhong, nostalgia, and oolong spa tea. Looking forward to trying them!

I’m soooo close to being to the point to allow myself to order more tea. I cannot wait to order from you!

Purchase tea in a healthy manner :)

No need to force one’s self. There is only one tea that may sell out within the next few weeks so your chances of finding what you wanted are rather high.
