2015 Spring tea is coming.We are holding gift-giving activities

I tried to get one, as I would like to try their teas. But I was charged for it so I cancelled the transaction. (I do not have an account with them.)

Setting up an user account is simple and free. :)

That may well be true, Conchobar. But it is an extra step (or two) that (in my opinion) I shouldn’t have to take. If TeaVivre wishes to give away gift cards for their shop – great! But they should make it as easy as possible, in order to attract new customers (like myself).

There are various benefits to having an account, and no drawbacks that I have encountered. However, it is of course your decision to do so or not. I feel as though the gift card promotion is more a reward for return customers rather than an attempt to win new ones. Perhaps you could enter to win their green tea sampler, which I don’t believe requires an account and could allow you to try them out. Best of luck.

Yes, on further reflection, I think that you are right, Uniquity. It is clearly not meant for new customers, as others also seem to be a bit confused by the charge for a free card.
