Crimson Lotus Tea 2015 Jianshui Teapot Collection
My wife and I have put a lot of work into this and are excited to finally be able to show off what we have for sale. We worked with artists in Jianshui this year to create a very unique collection of Jianshui Zitao clay teapots. Each is made to our specifications. These teapots are simple, elegant, high quality, and affordable.
Please read more about what we have available here: http://crimsonlotustea.com/blogs/news/18429653-our-2015-jianshui-clay-teapot-collection-is-available-for-sale
I meant this for Tea Companies and Promotions discussions thread. Sorry for the mispost.
I’m in love.
Oh, I definitely won’t. It’s beyond what I am willing to pay for a pot, and I specifically don’t want a clay/porous one. But I’m still in love. Hold strong!
Porcelain/ceramic or glass. Steeper mugs, traditional teapots, gaiwans. Whatever’s handy and relatively clean. :) I just don’t drink the same tea often enough to really have use for a porous pot. I stick to the same categories, shu pu and Chinese blacks, but not more specific than that, really.
I definitely did. OOPZ :-P Thanks for the awesome work you’re doing!
I got this one in 100ml http://crimsonlotustea.com/collections/jianshui-2015-collection/products/jianshui-zitao-clay-teapot-bian-xishi-style-matte-black
I’ve been searching for “the one” for gold bud dian hongs for two years. Maybe this will be it. I’ve thought that 5-6 times before though and holding the pot in my hand it didn’t feel right. I can only hope! :-P
That’s a nice one! I hope it’s “the one”! :)
I ordered two! They’ll be my first clay pots…so excited! I got these:

And

Ohhh you’ll be hooked. They are soo amazing and make tea taste significantly better :)
Yay! I can’t wait to try them out! I think one will be for sheng…not sure about the other.
The red one looks like a sheng pot and the black one looks like a shou pot ;)
Ooh, matte ones! Nice choices folks, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! =D
I got two xishis last year, and have been happily using one of them for shou since. The other one I have still not decided on.
Hah! Crazy, isn’t he? =D
He surprises me too sometimes.
But back to the Jianshui!
I personally knew I had to get a Jianshui pot when I got a little Jianshui teacup with one of my CLT orders (Thanks again!)
It surprised me how much a humble cup could affect the tea, and I just had to find out how a pot compares. (For those wondering; favourably!)
After discussing the purchase of a Jianshui teapot with my lovely enabling teafriends it quickly escalated into two teapots.
I may still have to find the right pairing for that second pot, but I regret nothing! =P
Veck -thanks for the notes! No buyers remorse here! I can’t wait to see how tea tastes in them! :D
dancing around in this thread wishing I could buy one SO beautiful!
These are finally getting out into people’s hands. I think Whispering Pines gave us the best compliment we could have expected. https://instagram.com/p/1yRfdNNypd/ Thanks so much man! <3
That’s so neat! And I can relate too, I have been looking for a hongcha pot for quite some time as well for quite some time!
I think it’s a difficult tea to pair well with clay.
They’re here! Love love love them! The quality looks really nice, not that I’m an expert, but the clay is a good thickness and the shape is beautiful! Thanks so much!
