and I’ve drank ZERO Pu’erh so far this year……
144 Teas – roughly 7285g of tea of which 1840g is puerh so that’s good news at least…thought it might be higher.
Curious on how start and finishing numbers compare :)

payback is a bitch, my beloved tea sister ;)

Seriously, you box is about half full, and it will all be good stuff.
@Liquid Proust, although I added all my new teas to my database, I haven’t actually counted them yet…I can’t believe how busy January has been!

So I’ve received two care packages and while my number has gone up the weight has gone down slightly – this means I’ve drank as much as has come in. Pretty happy with that.
Not happy with my only 5 pu’erh sessions….
YAY for being able to drink what’s come in :) Glad there’s still a week and a bit before the end of january. I don’t think i’ve gotten as far as i’d have liked to with things given the state of work at the moment.
I still haven’t gotten around to weighing my tea…I just think I can ever take it that far… Or find enough time to do so! :)
Any chance of making a 2016 sip down thread? As the dollar drops I’m thinking it might be a good year to slow down on buying and focus on drinking what I have..such a sad thought.
I was actually thinking of starting a 2016 thread…or I could change the name of this one?

I’m pretty happy with those numbers considering I received two wonderful care packages. Both number of and amounts are down. I’ve also been really diligent in drinking some of my oldest teas. All around I think I did pretty good.
I’m still expecting two incoming packages – both are things I bought/paid for last year. I haven’t bought anything this month. But those packages are coming and while I’m not expecting them to really add significantly to weight – they will add quite a bit in number of. That being considered I’m setting my end of February goals at something like 175 8800g – that might be a bit aggressive but if I keep drinking my old flavored teas (flavored tea being heavier and doesn’t resteep as much) I think it’s reachable. Will see how it goes…..

Finally updated my spreadsheet, phew! Current count is 243, which is a little on the excessive side any way you slice it, but a lot of this stuff is LESS THAN SIGN25g bits and bobs that need to be drank up.

Thanks for the encouragement!!! A lot of this is itty bitty bits of stuff where I’m like “hold up I STILL have this???” both in the “oh god take this tea away” and the “desperately clutching on to my last few tsps” kind of ways, so I’m just trying to power through them.
I can totally relate to that – when I was in “hard core sipdown mode” last year, I found some that I was hording and had to let go of. It’s bittersweet to drink the last of a favorite.
Right now I’m more concerned with drinking some of my old flavored stuff that I have quite a bit of – concentrating more on volume reduction than sipdowns. I’ve drank about 200g from this stash in the last week or so. I’m calling that a win. :))

I’m not doing well with this hiatus thing. I’ve been drinking a ton of my old teas and suddenly realized that I don’t have much flavored stuff in my cupboard. That and the sale lead to an August Uncommon order last night – then today I went to the mall and bought 68.66 worth of tea – but I used Christmas Gift Card/Money to get it. I added it to my cupboard but NOT to the budget for 2016 – I’m counting it as a gift.
I haven’t received the two packages I was expecting – but even if they come in (and the stuff I bought last night) I still feel I can make my Feb goal of 175 – 8800g
2016 Starting Numbers: 148 teas 7900g of which I had 1840g of puerh.
Goal for 2016: 55 teas; 4000g which means drinking at least 275g a month unless i buy things, then it’s more.
January: 111 Teas 6965g
Currently in February: 143 teas 7065g
you got mail hahaha as did a number of others :) Also, this is a loose estimate since sometimes i get lazy with my weighing. More just for a matter of perspective

I’m not getting very far on my sipdown extravaganza this year…so far… I’ve just been so busy, all I do is drink black teas all day. I really need to dive into your box, Sil, and reciprocate by filling a box and sending it forward…
