Count me in too! I think you already know that I’m in British-Columbia, Canada. :)
I’d love to do this, especially if it’s not starting until January. I’m in Broomfield, Colorado.
I would definitely like to be included! South Texas here.
REMINDER:
I am taking addresses now, so participants should email me at [email protected] with their address.
Please note that signing up is BINDING. Read the guidelines in the original post.
I won’t sign up for this one as I doubt anyone wants the expense of sending a box internationally, but since I’m in 2 other European TTBs I won’t sweat it.
Just a suggestion – as several people have already said, there are those with allergies. In my experience with TTBs, it’s usually best to put each tea in a resealable clear plastic baggie, either with an ingredient list inside easily seen, or with the list written on the baggie. Also, those with cats (like me) know that our beasties are very curious about packages, but some on the list may be allergic and so the box should be kept away from pets.
Enjoy the fun!!!!!
Awww… come on chana, it won’t be the same w/o you! It’s gotta go back to Europe anyway:)
Chana, I already have people who have volunteered to ship back to Europe, so whether they’re shipping to Denmark or to Israel shouldn’t mean all that much.
If you’re in two others already, I can totally understand if you think it might be a bit much, though. :)
It is apparently against Israeli law to ship used beehives to Israel. (One finds the most intriguing little facts reading custom regulations.) I can ship to Israel without much problem since I expect no one will be putting a used beehive in the package. :)
However, this is not meant as any sort of pressure to join. I think if I were in two other tea groups I’d be reluctant to join a third also.
aww man i was really looking forword to sending those used beehives i had laying around lolz j/k i find that a very interesting fact. i love reading up on silly laws (sry didnt mean to go off topic)
OK, OK, count me in! LOL
Any chance to get more tea, especially from companies who won’t ship to Israel (like Adagio)…. I’ll just have to get along without any more beehives.
I’m from Texas and I am interested.
Thanks!
I am curious do the teas need to be new and unopened and how much tea to put in? And how much shipping would there possibly be?
Either or, I believe you just throw samplers for people to try. Shipping would vary, first it would travel throughout Europe then make it’s way into the states. Shipping from the East Coast to West coast would be about $15 (Priority Mail Flat Rate, up to 70lbs) assuming the box isn’t that huge / doesn’t weight that much.
If you have a large amount, I don’t see anything wrong w/ putting a portion of it in another container as long as the name, company, and suggested steeping instructions are clearly marked.
Let’s not forget about British Columbia to Nova Scotia…west to east.
RIcky has a point, no pu erh bricks lol.
Darn, that’s what I was planning on doing xP
Don’t put more in than you take out. People can put samples of a lot of things in it or they can put a lot of a few things in. As long as they also take things OUT of the box, so that the weight remains as unchanged as possible.
I’m SO excited about this, but my only reservation is that I’m moving in March and I’m not sure it’d get to my current address in time…
I’m in! :P Will send you an email! Thx!
I’m in and have sent an email. And so are your other Steepster Overlords. Right, Jason and Mike? Right?
Oh…I’m in for sure! Sending email now…
I guess I have no choice :)
Awwww, don’t bully people into signing up, guys, it’s not nice. :)
It’s okay, I’m used to it from all you international complainers :P
Hey, I’ve been good! I haven’t complained all month as promised!
(Begged on my knees, yes, (and with awesome results yay!) but not complained)
I guess that’s true…you have been good :)
