Had this again today. Still not that impressed. I didn’t steep this cup as long though which made it taste a bit better. It was more black tea and less flavoring.

This tea was okay, but to me it tastes a bit fakey and for some reason I swear I taste a hint of coffee. I don’t know maybe it is just me. Anyway it is not the best cup of tea but it is not awful. I think It might make a good latte.

This tea actually makes you feel refreshed after drinking. I’ve never encountered a hot beverage that quenches your thirst quite like this does. It’s surprising. I recommend enjoying a cup of this tea with some good quality dark chocolate. Trust me.

I think my palate is receding, because I brewed up a cup of this today (iced) and it didn’t taste that bad. It almost tasted….good?

There needs to be a smiley face rating that goes :O

SoccerMom

Here in Texas we drink this sweetened and iced. Your right it’s not so bad when iced but if I were to drink it hot I’d probably gag a little.

Ricky

Add some sugar and a few pieces of lemon and I’m sold =]

Hot, plain? It’s tasteless.

gmathis

The loose variety isn’t bad at all—I keep a small canister on hand for mornings when I’m too busy to really care what I’m gulping.

It’s actually okay. I don’t know the exact difference between this one (with the chinese character on the box, and individually wrapped bags) and the regular “Clear Green” tea bags, but I prefer this one. Perhaps it’s a little less bitter. Yummy in the morning with a Nutella sammich.

I also prefer this one over the Clear Green, by a BIG margin.

drank Finest Darjeeling by Lipton

I have not added any notes for about 6 days, because my ISP has virtually shut down. And it’s come to this: Drinking Lipton tea-bag Darjeeling at McDonalds.
I did so at MvcDonald Noarlunga on Saturday. And it was pretty bad. But then again, it’s one of the worst McDonalds for anything.
Sunday, hit McDonalds Reynella. Slightly better. I think they filter the water.
Today is Monday, back at McD’s Moarlunga and I have been served the single worst cup of tea ever. Not even my mother-in-law had plumbed these depths.
I waited 15 minutes. So did the tea, apparently. It was lukewarm – and that’s being generous.
So, I asked for it to be re-made. To be honest, I was a little prickly.
The remake is a slightly hotter version of the rubbish I was served.
Here’s how it goes: McDonalds aim at “cheap and cheerful” and generally get that half right. I had enough of sulky adolescents when I had two at home.
The tea is rubbish. Lipton bags are not up to any sort of standard – I wish I’d just had one of the Dilmah bags under the other counter. They’re better for being stronger and I like Dilmah’s ethics.
So a poor product, made by the incompetent and the unwilling, served to a massive tea snob in a bad mood.
At least when I’m typing, I’m not drinking….

Well I have recently found that I quite like mint teas and since I’m also a fan of spices I made an assumption that the two together in some sort of tea format must be a winner.

Well it seems my palate and gut were wrong on this one. The really weird looking teabag that this mix of who knows what comes in was the first shock (it was like a webbing that turned to a solid sheet when wet hanging from dental floss). The second was the taste, which was just about drinkable, nowhere near as nice as straight mint tea. The third shock of the day was the fact that I now have a whole box left.

Lacking in the spice department as well but that may just be me. Was expecting something akin to the tea I had ages ago. Was a weird box of tea that had Asian style tigers, spices and a castle on the box. I know that that is a very poor description but trust me it exists and it was tasty.

The situations the pursuit of tea leaves me in.

As others have said here, this is better than no tea at all, but nothing to write home about. I have a handful of the teabags left from restaurant visits (they bring me two, I use one, pocket the other for later), so I’m trying to be thrifty and use some of it up. At least I started out the morning with one of my favorites before moving to this!

I’m not sure if this range is defunct from Liptons as I have had the teabags for ages.

A really interesting one this. It’s got that sought after jasmine flavour that I do love and find really refreshing but I think Liptons have gone too far (or went too far if the range has stopped). After the intial sip its a bit like drinking essence of pot pourri. A soapy, highly perfumed tea. Maybe its because I wasn’t expecting it to be that strong, maybe it got stronger with age but it just seemed a bit excessive.

Not an unpleasant tea, I doubt such a thing exists, but its not going to be a firm favourite of mine. I have a few more bags left and I will drink them at some point, but I will really have to be in the mood.

If you’re really into the taste of hot St. Joseph’s chewable aspirin, then you’ll love this tea. Personally, I dumped it after half a cup. But my Mom likes this tea, so that’s why the rating is as high as it is.

I poured a couple of teaspoons of honey to counter this cough I’ve acquired over the recent weekend. Needless to say, all I could taste was the honey. Bland as a black bowtie, this teabag.

On the plus side, I DO feel healthier drinking this rather than water… I’m sure it’s the antioxidants I’m tasting and not the orange pekoe. Those flavonoids sure are flavorful. XD

I need to help my dad drink all this Lipton Hot Tea so we can use the empty jar for cookies. Or paper clips.

I would rate this more as a traditional soda (aka corn syrup and fizz) than a tea. I think it’s decent enough, but it left me with a bitter aftertaste. Sibs like this stuff a lot, but they’re kids, what do they know…

Cofftea

Their diet citrus bottled tea was the 1st tea I had after Nestea’s sweetened instant black and I loved that til I started drinking unsweetened tea. And I have a rootbeer black tea that I love to make concentrated, chill, then add sparkling water to… so this interests me…

One of Lipton’s better teas. It’s a non-spectacular black, but the price and convince can be compelling. The liquor is actually a very nice deep dark amber, the aroma is almost non-existent however, and it’s got a touch of.. “oily” to it.

This isn’t great, but not horrible either. The dry tea smells very strong of blueberry which lasts throughout the steeping process. I don’t seem to care much for white teas, but this one seems to have more flavor that others I’ve tried. The tea would probably be good with sugar, which might help bring out the pomegranate that is lost in this tea. I don’t see myself buying this.

Mmm, gingery! If you like ginger, you’ll like this. It’s almost to the point of spicy…and I steeped it in 20oz of water too. On the other hand, I steeped the crap out of it as I do with most herbal teas…

The initial smell of this tea is mainly peach, with a hint of mango. However, as the tea develops the role is reversed and you get more of the mango and less of the peach. The color is a very nice orange-lemon citrus like shade. This is a very light tasting tea, nice before bed. I usually like my teas to be a little bit stronger, but I bet that extra steeping time would help a bit.

Update: I just realized that I left half of this cup sitting around…I’m lowering the rating. If it isn’t memorable enough for me to remember that I didn’t finish it, obviously I’m not that much of a fan.

I actually really like this, surprisingly enough. I thought it would be gross — sparkling tea, blech. But it’s nice and light and refreshing. I’m trying to drink less pop, and this is a good substitute for it, I think. I think the strawberry/kiwi flavor is very pleasing.
