I’ve been going hog wild with my new 3-in-1 pitcher from David’s Tea. Making iced tea is a snap, and I thought this one would be a great one to ice. I love Lipton’s Summer Fruits tea, so I figured I’d like this one.
It’s very peachy. It’d be great on a hot day, I’d say, and the white tea goes well with the peach. Nice and light. I’d have liked more mango in there. I have yet to try it hot. Overall, pleased!
Flavors: Fruity, Mango, Peach
Preparation
Bought this on impulse at Target this weekend as a house-warming gift to myself. Just tried it at work after lunch.
First impression: bag smells great, tropical and can’t detect the jasmine.
As it brews: was surprised at how long the water was clear, its a very yellow green tea.
Also what are the white dots floating in the tea bag?? – not natural looking!
Tasting: Orange is main note I am getting with sweetness being lent from the passionfruit flavor (barely detectable). I get a slightly floral aftertaste but nothing distinctly jasmine. I’m not getting much green tea taste, its tastes like water infused with orange, passionfruit and jasmine as opposed to a green tea with these ingredients.
Overall pleasant experience especially the aroma. I only steeped for 2:15 min. because I read the reviews and some said it gets bitter, may experience with temps/times for this one or try it iced. I had low expectations so I can dig this.
Flavors: Flowers, Orange, Orange Zest, Passion Fruit, Tropical

So.
We were at Target yesterday and I really really wanted to get more of that chamomile from Celestial Seasonings that I just finished off because I really liked it.
But I went with this and the peach tea from Celestial Seasonings instead because I just wanted to try them once and now that my sister is living with us…she apparently likes tea, and since they aren’t really close to me and they have like the family tea cupboard in the kitchen I figured they’d like these ones.
I really never thought I’d like a Lipton tea. That’s like one of my least favorite brands. Maybe I’ve just tried all the wrong things from them, I don’t know.
But when I saw that it had dragon fruit AND melon I HAD to try no matter what brand!
Unless it’s adagio…then it’s a slightly different story xD
The dragonfruit and melon combo was actually kinda great. I can’t believe other better companies haven’t paired these flavors before! I love dragonfruit and melon teas for the most part, and ughh that mix.
It’s definitely not the best tea ever, but I will for sure keep this one in my stash and finish it off-it’s actually……..
Good.
le gasp
I know, me saying a Lipton tea is good. Crazy, huh? XD Next I’ll find a good Adagio tea. xD Imagine that haha wow! Well the tea world constantly is surprising me! :P
And I am not going to be ashamed that I liked a Lipton tea…least for now… :P
Flavors: Creamy, Fruity, Melon, Sweet
Lipton has (had? it’s been a while) pineapple chamomile in the same product line that is very tasty.
Yeah lots of people like Adagio, except me. xD And lots of people get horrible CS from Teavana and I’ve only gotten perfect CS. Everyone gets great CS from DavidsTea and I keep getting bad CS. XD I’m just the odd one out, Liquid Proust
Oh yeah, I’ve tried that one too…pineapple and chamomile tasted both sour, It was a good combo just wish it hadn’t been so sour, but I don’t really ever look at what Lipton has in stores anymore. But this one was good, gmathis!
I too was very sorry to find I couldn’t buy this anymore. I like to make a pot of black, green or white tea blended with herbal tea(s). This Lipton Honey Lemon was the perfect bag to finish a combination with. Likewise, if I didn’t want to have too much caffeine when brewing a pot of black tea (which I drink with lemon and sugar or honey), I would substitute one or two bags of this one. It would keep the flavors going, but insure I didn’t get too much caffeine. I suppose I could look for a substitute, but I’m still nursing my last dozen bags of this!
Preparation
How i got it: Tried it while having supper at my cousin’s house
Experience: When you are eating at the table with your family, you can’t be too picky with your steeping times, hehe. So i tried to guess something like 3 mins, and try this tea. Aroma wise, it’s very light, and took me some effort to distinguish the tea scent, which was a mild, powered-down version of the classic Ceylon tea smell, with less fruity and more floral notes. In the taste side, that was the case too. Less caramel and crisp notes than usual, and more smooth, floral ones. I’d have liked a bit more intensity (maybe a couple seconds more could have helped), but this was a fairly good tea.
Would i buy it?: Maybe I’ll get a box someday to reevaluate
Ehh, this didn’t turn out great. I added a bag of Twinings Earl Grey Decaf to the mix as usual, but it’s pretty bland. I bought a huge box of the Lipton quite a while ago, so maybe its age is finally catching up with it. Might add an extra teabag or two next time around.
My mom teases me because I always make my sweet tea using a recipe from an old Southern Living cookbook. Surely any good Southern girl can make sweet tea without a recipe! But no, not me. I’m a recipe junkie through and through, a rule follower to the bitter end.
I’m sure we all have a certain way we like to make our sweet tea, but if you don’t then this recipe is super easy. You basically just boil four family-size tea bags for a minute, steep for ten minutes, then mix with a cup of sugar and enough water to fill a 2 1/2 quart pitcher. Voila! Super sweet, super easy Southern iced tea!
Preparation
I didn’t even include this tea in my collection but it is not good at all. I’ve only had one cup & that was enough. I tasted no blueberry or acai they were both non existent.
not apart of my main review group so there is still more left.
Preparation
I’m highly enjoying this tea. I found it today at Publix and used it to brew a sun tea (3 tea bags to 64 oz of water) this afternoon. The melon flavor is very prominent, with a mellow green tea finish.
